CBS Sports tagged eight analysts as expert NCAA Tournament picks and Dennis Dodd is the lone pick for Clemson (falling to 3-seed Baylor in the next round). A couple of the brackets pick New Mexico to make the Sweet 16 and fall to 2-seed Arizona.

The New Mexico love reminds of what Rutgers was getting as a 10 seed when the Tigers played them as a 7 seed in the 2021 NCAAT.

Remember that outcome? Beating the Tigers then coming so close to Houston in the next round.

Yeah, but the Mountain West is so much a better conference then NMST's conference.

The Mountain West had one of their best seasons ever. New Mexico beat like three straight top 40 teams to win their Tourney in Boise State, CSU, and San Diego State.

They also got shafted by the committe in seedings. The Tigers are playing a team that should have gotten at least a 7 seed.

Basically, they are a lot better than NMST..
