general public parking in the student lot off Perimeter Rd. You'd think they would have eased into this at $5 or $10 per car, but WHAM it's $20. I guess this is because they had to relocate some IPTAY folks to this lot b/c of construction.

Looks like Douthit Hills is still free (thought there was construction going on there). Anyone know if Kite Hill will remain free too?

Jack the prices up on general parking to bleed more dollars out of the fanbase. That's some bullcrap right there.

and they're advertising it ahead of time so people will know to carpool as much as possible.

There is a lot less parking around campus with all of the construction, and this is one way of handling it. I expect the private parking at churches and in people's front yards to cost a lot more this year too.

We'll find out in time when all the construction is done. By your theory they would lift these fees once more space becomes available. I don't see it happening.

They had to put donors in that lot. There is no way for IPTAY to justify putting a donor in free lot. Thus, they now have to charge for it.

With that said, there is no way I see them making the lot free ever again.

Thanks for the early warning. I have parked there many games and may do so for the Notre Dame game. By comparison my space in Camden in the infield for the Colonial Cup including two tickets runs $175.00 so I guess a one time fee of $20.00 is to be expected when parking is going to be more limited due to construction.
