Lets get to arguing...

over Little Debbies.
Personally my holy trinity are:
1.) Strawberry shortcakes 2.) Cosmic brownies 3.) Chocolate cupcakes
Figured since it was an off week we might as well argue about something other than politics or whether or not we make the CFP.
Lets get at it.

They come in a strong fourth place spot for me. Those paired with a glass of milk are elite. There is honestly only one Little Debbie I don't like (raisin cream pies).

I can’t stand that stuff, but a good friend of mine is a true connoisseur. He claims the jewel in Little Debbie’s crown is the Christmas snowflake brownie - a rare, luxurious find in his opinion.

Oatmeal Pies Used to be my Favorite Until I Was 16

and literally ate 8 Oatmeal pies in 2 hours. My buddies golf club had a 1/2 way house where you just took whatever food/drink you wanted as it came w/membership. His Daddy was super loaded. And over 18 holes of golf I ate 8 of them and died of Diabeetus needing defibrillation to come back to life.

True but sad story too..
Oct 27, 2022, 4:56 PM

Mother loved her sweets so I fed my once thin Alzheimers Mother in nursing home White wine & Nutty Buddies for 1 1/2 years since it made her happy & made day go by..
and one day she unexpectedly had massive heart attack & died hours later.
Doc told me I'd helped kill her by adding 10 lbs of weight on each side of her waist area.. but she went down happy via sweets since she was most unhappy with her terrible life of lost memory.

Your doctor was a jerk and you did for your mother what I hope my kids would do for me. I’ve already told them to take me off of all meds meant to prevent stroke or heart attacks and tell my doctors to shove it if they suggest anything whatsoever intended to help me live longer.
They have also been instructed to put The Princess Bride on a continuous loop, hug me and say goodbye.

At a family dinner one night, one elderly cousin is heard refusing dessert. Another elderly relative asks him “what are you saving yourself for?” That’s my philosophy too. Once you get to the golden years, live life and enjoy what you can.

constantly from lower back issues, is in the beginning stages of dementia, and now has congestive heart failure. ALL her contemporaries are dead and gone. She has just been marking time for at least the last EIGHT YEARS, and wonders daily why God does not go ahead and take her. I don't have any answers for her, but far as I'm concerned, she can eat whatever the Heyall she wants to, WHENEVER she wants to, and her Doctors can take a long walk off a short plank.

2) Oatmeal cream pies (still eat these occasionally!)
3) Fudge rounds
Edit: Forgot Nutty Buddies! I'm not sure what to bump for them, but they definitely deserve a mention.

I haven’t had a Little Debbie in ages, but I have fond memories of having them in my lunch box in elementary school. I remember them vividly.
Here’s my list:
1. Oatmeal Crème Pies 2. Fudge Rounds 3. Star Crunch
Honorable mention: Peanut Butter Crunch

There is nothing.......NOTHING about oatmeal creme pies that tops swiss rolls. Yeah the center of the pies are unreal but merely the number of ways to eat a Swiss roll knocks all contenders out

Oatmeal Creme Pies. From K-12 I’ll bet 80+ percent of school days my lunch was a PB&J and a Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie.
More recently I’ve seen the double decker version in vending machines. Doctor would shoot me if I ate that much sugar now though.

Little Debbie is still so good. My husband’s fave is the nutty buddy. Mine is Swiss rolls and the extra large oatmeal cream pies.

and then I started reading the options... that was a few days ago, I guess. For some reason I went to the Little Debbie website and selected "bakery items". Man! I forgot how much I used to love these things! Shame, shame, shame on you BigwillyT for bringing this up. There is a 300 pounder hiding inside my 170 pound body, waiting for a chance to make his move.
I'm gonna be dreaming of ... well, all of them. Swiss Rolls were my favorite. I'm gonna need a big stick to beat that that fat man back.

Aren’t they Nutty BARS?
Nutty buddies (also awesome) are an ice cream treat in my neck of the woods…NOT a Little Debbie!

Nutty Bars are the best. The oatmeal cream cookie thingies are pretty good too, but I really lost interest when they shrunk down the size so that it was gone in basically one bite. Now I go for the Stauffer's animal crackers (chocolate). Cheap and tasty!

I worked for McKee Foods for 6 years as a foreman in production and in the fire brigade.
One of my former subordinates actually is a dentist now, ironically.
I couldn't eat LDs for years after I moved on.
I've overcome overcome that now.
My Top 3 are...
1. Nutty Buddies 2. Oatmeal Creme Pies 3. Swiss Cake Rolls
My discontinued Top 3 are...
1. Granola Bars, right out of the Plant 2 Line 14 oven, dripping honey and frien sugar.
2. Apple Spice Cakes Right out of the Line A oven in the old Plant 1.
3. Cherry Bars
