Does UW not have a stadium large enough for a big game?

Oct 12, 2013, 11:17 AM

Last year the same thing- they played Stanford at the Seahawks Century Link field

Best Is The Standard

Seems odd. CLF=67,000 Husky Stadium=72,500

Must be just mixing it up. Like if Maryland were to play in RFK or UNC in Charlotte.

Husky Stadium was under renovation.***

They reopened the stadium this year. ITs very nice and loud.

Think about the seahawks advantage at home.... The huskies will have the same advantage today.

Last year they were renovating Husky Stadium

So all their games were played at CenturyLink Field. Much like Maryland though, they have an agreement with the NFL stadium to play at least one game a year there; typically the higher attendance ones. Husky Stadium seats about 70,000.

They just spent 250 million on a new stadium. Where is Oregon and UW getting all this cash for their facility upgrades. Is this from the pac 12 conference financial package?

UW's endowment is 2.1 billion. To compare, Syracuse has an endowment of 904 million whereas Clemsons is just over 500 million.

Another note, UW has over 40k students on a 700 acre urban campus. Gotta say I love our place in the hills.
