Fellow Tigers,
I'm trying to understand why we haven't had a night game in DV since 2010? I know we usually don't have but 1 or 2 really good home games each year, but I personally think it's a shame we don't have at least 1 night game in DV each season... I really hope our game vs VT is at night!
Thoughts?

e $$$$. For example, last year we were riding a wave of wins yet we still had no night game????
This was straight out of an IPTAY employee's mouth.
TV does have somewhat of a say so but not the overall......There is a reason SEC teams play cup cakes at 330 and 7pm.

SEC's deal with CBS, no other SEC games can be played at that time so that kills the 3:30pm option for them. It's either noon or night for their other games. That's why a lot of ACC games fill the 3:30 voids on ABC/ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FSN etc. and leaves us with less chances at night games.

That makes perfect sense. But for our cupcake games (such as a Furman/Ball State etc, which are likely to only be broadcasted on ESPN3) what is preventing us from playing at night?

serious distance don't like night games because of that. Also, the hotel space in and around Clemson is limited which is another problem.

Agreed, our attendance hasn't suffered when we've had night games. In fact, it's usually better. Most of the empty seats in the corners get filled in during night games because people don't have to deal with the sun.
