Just Wondering....What is a KORNCOOT?

Been on site awhile and is from ALABAMA...
Saw it a bunch on here... Wana understand it.. why? & its orgin?

Phil Kornblut is a sportswriter for "The State" newspaper

Coot is a reference to that other school in our state's mascot.

Phil Kornblut is heavily biased toward said inferior in state rival.

Thus, he's known by some as Korncoot.

Phil Korncoot is a sportswriter/radio show personality; and he also provides a website on recruiting. He claims to be neutral between Clemson & USuC, but his bias shows in his many recruiting opinions -- that he pushes out as facts that favor the Coots in recruiting.

conjectures. I would recommend that true Tiger fans avoid him and his sponsors. One of his sponsors is a state agency. Pressure should be employed to get them to stop doing this. Kornbutt has never been fair and objective. I would like to see the Sptbg. Herald drop him and would like to see CU deny him and his cohorts press credentials. The only way that you play with them is to beat them at their own game.

Well said. There is absolutely no reason he, nor anyone associated with him, ever should be allowed at any Clemson function. He has zero credibility, and he wears his bias on his sleeve.
