Top 5 plays from the National Championship game?
Mar 30, 2017, 8:32 PM

A co-worker and fellow tiger fan and I were talking about this last night. Was interesting to hear the different answers we came up with. Here are mine:
5. The opening offensive play of the game where the Wayne Train absolutely ran over someone.
4. Boulware's hit/pass break up on Stewart, where Stewart's mouth piece went flying.
3. Deon Cain reversing field on the tunnel screen, for our first big play of the game.
2. Deshaun's leap to the end zone. Even though he came up short, that one play showed the heart of a man that just refused to lose.
1. The Tiger Crush. The final play. I had to of watched it over 1000 times in every language available.
I know I missed soooo many great plays. What are your 5 favorites?

- Crush (the final play) - Leggett's 16-yard full extension - Renfrow's TD-saving tackle on the Bama fumble recovery - Mike's leaping 30+ yard grab late in the 4th on the TD drive that gave us the lead. - Boulware correctly diagnosing a pre-snap read and laying the wood to a Bama player.

Jordan Leggett's last drive catch.

His body twisted, his fingers reversed direction and grew 7 inches.

scored on that one, then I think the Tigers were doomed. Bama's defense broke most team's backs with their touchdowns.

1. Final Play 2. Mike Williams catch on final drive. 3. Deon Cain reverse field. Changed momentum 4. Hunter Renfrow TD saving tackle. If not for that we probably do not win. 5. DW toe tapping TD.
I came close to choosing Jordan Leggett's catch on final drive for 5.

I have two favorite plays:
1. Teasdall onside kick recovery 2. Victory formation after the recovery.

5. The last drive 3rd down conversion by DW4 to Hunter- huge play!
4. "The sled heard 'round the stadium" - Wayne's TD when our boys made Bama look like a tacking dummy
3. Tied - MW's catches all through the game.
2. Helicopter Watson - why? He crushed Bamas will by dusting off and getting to it
1. The Crush and ball flip - nuff said.
Of note: Def side - the trip up of OJ Howard on a crucial 3rd down I think.

Everybody nails the great plays of the game. I dare say there were too many for me to list, but all mentioned can rightfully be included, IMO. All were epic and a testament of Clemson's will to win.

I'll take the 4 nastiest, biggest hits the Bama team put on us followed by DW to HR for the win... Just like to remind myself and anyone watching that the Tigers, and specifically the GOAT DW were not gonna let ANYTHING keep them from bringing home the Natty.

And Mike williams's catches of the list, but I'm a defensive minded guy, so I always appreciate a big hit.
