The GOP has no interest in actual governing. With the Dems, basic functions of government would go on with some semblance or order. Morons like MTG don't have a similar power on the left like they do on the right.
Hopefully this fall, the Dems take the House and keep the Senate. Won't be easy. Might not happen. But it's better than the GOP circus.

If only the Federal Government just dealt with basic functions.
I couldn't disagree more with your wishes. If the Dems have the House, Senate and WH there will be even more expansive Federal involvement in our lives.
As dysfunctional as the House is, I prefer that by far, than a government that seems hellbent on dictating ever more to the people how to live.

When the GOP is in charge, they strut around like they're small government peacocks. But actually they're not. We get massive deficits, and we get optional wars, culture wars. And now we get the GOP wanting to ban books, attack companies, tell teachers how to teach, and tell women what to do with their bodies.

Democrat is a misnomer. Democrats do not try to remove the opposition's leading candidate from the ballot in multiple states.

Trump led a coup attempt, and should have been barred from ever running for office again, were it not for a frightened GOP group of senators shaking in their boots.
There is one party that will respect the outcome of the 2024 election. It's not the GOP.

In my Governor's race I will be voting Libertarian, unless new information arises. I will most likely not be voting for President, unless a decent candidate enters the race.

Who do you want as Speaker who will be MAGA enough to pass meaningless bills that have no chance of being taken up or voted up in the Senate or ultimately signed by Biden?
Do you want a Speaker that allows the government to shutdown?
The government especially one in which the Pubs hold just a razor thin margin in the House, doesn't hold the Senate or the WH, has to be willing to compromise in order to function.
Johnson is conservative and is a Trump follower. Seriously who would you like to run the circus that is the GOP led House.
I hope the GOP retains the House in case it can't retake the Senate, but independent voters have seen nothing I suspect to cause them to want the GOP in charge. The Pubs can't even agree on a leader. It's the gang that can't shoot straight.
