Dabo has lost four in a row to the coots...

That's what makes me sick.
Whether or not you are happy about getting killed in the upcoming bowl game after winning 10 games against pathetic competition and losing to the only decent teams we played doesn't matter to me.
Enjoy your Clemson Tom videos.

Until it changes. Until then, I don't believe it bothers the coaches and players nearly as much as the fans.
Well, maybe Ellington who has a cousin on the other team. He mysteriously disappeared from the game plan in the second half.

how many has Marc Richt lost in a row to Spurrier, and quit saying coots, their program has nothing to do with these losses.

years after the South Carolina game. Is there any chance that Clemson just doesn't look there best because of whatever schemes South Carolina chooses to employ?
I mean, if Clemson players can't give their best effort against South Carolina at this point then you have a bigger problem on your hands.

Players looked disgusted. A lot of keyboard coaches, myself included, have discussed exactly how to beat USuCk. It was demonstrated in the 1st qtr then, disappeared. And, not because USCheat did anything different. Chad abandoned the plan. Maybe it was scripted as such, expecting Ward to make adjustments. I do not know.

Chad adjusted. Ward adjusted to have CU playing right into his hand. Genius!!!
Not only does USCe have the greatest HC to ever throw a set of headphones, they have a wizard for DC!

FSU? Did you see how creative that gameplan was against the defensive rush that the coaches knew was coming? Now fast forward a little and tell me if you saw anything nearly that creative against an equally talented, if not better, front 4 with USuCk.
There was nothing. Nothing that kept the defense guessing, no misdirection, we didn't use the jet sweep to do anything, just nothing. And that has nothing to do with any adjustments that may or may not have been made by your thug coaches.
That is what we're saying.

for four years now I keep hearing that Clemson went away from what worked all year when it came time to play South Carolina, simply because they felt like trying something new (I guess).
To believe that is foolish in the extreme.

No. You missed the whole point.
The gameplan was working in the first quarter. We went entirely from what was working and kept getting ourselves in 2nd and 3rd and long because we refused to run the football.
If you've ever watched Clemson football, you know that we ran far less misdirection, jet sweep, screen passes than we normally do.
That's not some excuse or assumption. It's fact. And fans are baffled as to why we didn't continue to do something to negate one of the best DLs in the country.
Chad simply laid an egg.

Clemson had one drive that worked for them.
Nov 29, 2012, 10:50 AM
|

They scored 2 TDs but the long bomb was well covered, and as amazing a TD catch as Cory Boyd's in Death Valley years ago. Meaning you can't count on that kind of play routinely. Not when you are playing someone other than Duke and Wake anyway.
So... I say again... you really think USC had nothing to do with Clemson going away from whatever worked on the one long scoring drive in the first qtr? You really believe that Clemson, had that very impressive drive, and then decided they should not use that scheme the rest of the game; with no influence from the South Carolina defense?
(Hint - Quick slants and such require timing)

The long bomb came against single coverage Nuk will make that play 90% of the time doesn't matter who is covering it did not happen anymore bc that play was not there anymore but had Nuk been one on one with any other DB the rest of the game and Tajh had time to throw it there would have been more plays like it

I know this is going to sound just a little crazy, but the Offense didn't do the defense any favors when it scored the 2nd TD in the 2nd in just 0:24 seconds. The D had no time to rest/recover and had to rush right back on the field after clemson's score.
Exciting? Sure. Impressive? Yes. Best game plan? To be determined.

But I'm not foolish enough to watch my team get throttled for 4 years without realizing that the other team actually has some influence on the outcome of the games.

Nobody said they didn't, but even you can admit that Clemson changed their gameplan after the 1st quarter. Whether that had to do with Ward's defense is immaterial.

Im still wondering why the chad was so creative in the first half of that fsu game....just to abandon it for the 2nd. Then he didnt even seem to have a playbook against SC. Guess he left it in his car.

Excellent post. Would read again...after you beat a "mediocre" SEC team after losing to a "sub-par" Scar team. Love it. Throw some bacon on it and eat it up.

If Morris leaves, he will find another that is as good or better ... THAT, is his job
If Tahj leaves, there are plenty behind him to take his place ....
Tahj has to realize ... he is good, but not THAT good ... actually, I think the NCSt QB is/was better !

The problem is the B.S. offense we run. Alabama and Ga. both play old man ball and look where they are at this very moment. By the way, the national title game is being played right now. Ga. or Bama will easily handle the chrome domes of Notre Dame.

Agreed. I am sick of the gimmick offenses Dabo runs. It puts up huge numbers against sucking defenses, but cant do squat when encountering anyone with a stout D-line.
