2023: ~68
2022: ~70
The new 1st down clock rule hasn't yet had the effect some thought?

You can’t really use opening weekend as a comparison to the whole season. Most games were blowout matchups typical for opening up where one team accounted for most of or even more than the 68 points. The totals will drop on average by 8-10 points by mid season.

As I said, it's very early - the impact if any will become clearer as the season progresses, and for individual teams the link provided gives prior year[s] to 2003-04.
