students from buying season tickets? Every time Clemson plays a home game, tens of thousands of season ticket holders make their way into Death Valley. Everyone has this opportunity. If students want to bitchandwhine about not being able to get free tickets because our football team is good, then they can buy tickets like the rest of us. They sound like entitled millennials who want participation trophies.

I sure hope they have more money than I had years ago as a student. I was pretty satisfied if I had enough money to buy a grill cheese sandwich sometimes instead of eating in the dining hall every meal. Buying season tickets? LOL - wow - maybe some of the frats could have done that.
Are college kids that rich these days? We helped 3 get thru, and I don't remember them having a ton of money to spare.

Like perhaps they could figure out a way to work in return for currency that they could use to buy tickets.

I have a hard time believing that if a student said "here you go IPTAY, have some money" that IPTAY would respond with "no thanks, we would prefer not taking your money."

caring parents should sign their kid up for IPTAY at birth

not the Tiger Cub or Junior Tiger crap. That way by the time they are a student, they have big IPTAY priority points.
My parents did something sorta similar with me. I decided I was gonna go to Clemson when I was about 10 years old and told my parents. Inspired by this, my parents joined IPTAY IN MY NAME and started buying season tickets. They used them through my graduation, then seamlessly "passed" them to me. When I graduated, I was a already 12 year IPTAY member with sweet season tix.
Maybe you can't do that any more, but they sure did me a big favor having the foresight to do it.

Let's take it a step further and turn the hill into a nursery for parents who want to bring their infants to games. That way they can get all their family photos taken by Howard's Rock and then can upload them to social media ASAP so everybody knows how big of fans they are.
Amirite, sailingtiger?

$60 for IPTAY Collegiate Club and you will have a tix
Aug 30, 2017, 2:11 PM
|
|
You can pay $60 as a student and join the IPTAY collegiate club. They have first access to tickets, even before seniors or grad students. As long as you can set a reminder and go into the system you will never have a problem getting a ticket. It is the students who don't care and forget about getting their ticket that are the first to complain. Those who care enough to drop $60 and are on top of their time will have a ticket. Unreal how everyone thinks this is some type of sham by the school.

I don't think it's a sham by the school at all. I think they should try to make money, lots of money. They can't set aside 18,000 tickets for students, so naturally some students won't get tickets.

That is the way it is supposed to be but my student with her collegiate membership is ticket-less for Auburn and was 'in line" on time. She missed out again when tickets opened up to the student body. Of the 4 people living in her apartment, all IPTAY members, 1 got an upper level ticket.

Do they keep the students for tradition sake? It's the only reason I can think of as students clearly don't bring anything to the table.
