like they would have trouble standing. Just being old doesn't cut it.
I've had major ankle surgeries, by the time the game is over I can barely walk back to my parents tailgate. I still stand to support our tigers for the vast majority of the game. If an older couple doesn't want to stand for the game, they can either switch seats with me, or they can miss the game.

I've been going to Clemson football games regularly since 1968, both at home and away. I'm often the loudest fan in the section where I sit, home or away. I wear my colors proudly and you'd be hard pressed to find a significantly more loyal and supportive fan than me...or the thousands of others like me who are in it for the long haul.
I sit down regularly when the situation calls for it and as often as I can when it's clear my standing is needlessly blocking the view of someone behind me. That simply seems polite. You seem proud to be impolite. That seems odd.
I'll bet all your allowance you end up sitting down like a regular fan during games pretty soon. Oh, to you it might seem like a long time before you sit, but you'll sit pretty soon. You will sit. And when you do, you'll remember how you made such a fool of yourself bragging about standing up.
Grouchy old guy here.....

I think this is one of the worst "arguments" that gets posted before every big game. Its ridiculous, do you really think the team plays harder because you are standing or because its loud? I can see it now, Sammy looking up in the SEATS and goes, they like me, they really like me, look everyone is standing, I'll go make a big play. REALLY? you sir are a moron. and if you were standing in front of me, I promise all 4'11" US Navy vet will help you in your seat.(btw, I am female). What helps is to be loud and support your team, it doesn't matter if you stand or sit. now, go sit your sorry A down, because I can't see!
