My buddy has seats on the first row of the upper deck on about the 35 yard line. Its Right above the 'T' in 'Death Valley'. Those are actually pretty good seats. You get an elevated view and can see the whole thing. But not too far away to be able to see numbers and stuff.
I have also sat in the lower deck about 3 rows up. Those were not good seats at all. Couldnt really see the entire field.

at the top on the 50 and they were too far away IMO. One thing about the UD is that you can actually see the plays develop.
The first 5 rows on the LD suck big time.

on the 35 or so and would offer to swap. When we sat down there we could not see what was happening.
LD is definitely 'nicer' but I have resigned myself to never being able to move down there.

But unfortunately it is not true either. It takes a special kind of fan to stand on the hill. Usually the lazy student who will not camp out for a ticket or tall people that can see from anywhere. I fit both of those categories. I've also been in contact with my friend's little sister who will probably give me her student tickets to all the games because she always uses daddy's IPTAY tickets. It's shaping up to be a good season.

I agree, but I can see my half of the field pretty well from the LD corner. I had a spectacular view of Mike Williams' diving TD grab and Deshaun hurdling the guy for a TD, both against encee's tate.
If there is a goal line play on the other end (like the end of Louisville), I have to watch on the video screens.
The biggest plus of the LD is that you feel like you're a part of the game day atmosphere. In the UD I always felt like I was looking down on the atmosphere and the sounds from the band/cheers were always delayed.

Upper deck is OK except for those that have a hard time dealing with the height and seemingly acute angle.
Sat beside one lady who had been to 50 years of games. Forty something family guy in front of us is cussing Tommy B the hole game. Cuz Wake Forest. He leaves at end of first half in disgust. Everybody applauds his departure. His young adult fan apologized to everyone. The rest of the family stays until the end of the game. I always wondered if they had a ride home?
The low corner seats are the most pitiful. Can't see shyatt. Anywhere.

Had North Upper seats for FSU game on Labor Day years ago. I was so hammered I don't remember going in but I got to my seat (it was brutally hot), looked at one of the guys I was with, said "f this" and left. We were tailgating behind the hill before it became the Military Plaza. Went back there, sat on my cooler and listened to the game until halftime, hitched a ride back to Lot 13 and drove my drunk self home. Wife was surprised when I got home so early. Told her I didn't feel well which was true. I puked before the game because I ate some bad chicken not because of all I had to drink.

Of the Fight. I had an anxiety attack that sent me to Emergency Room the Friday night before big game. Got pumped full of ativan. I "had" great seats with a sales rep. Called. Missed the game. Slept until game time at home. Thought it was a weird dream.
