I don't think much about South Carolina - they're not the team I cover - but sitting around with the media over the summer this came up: Over the last four or so years, the Gamecocks would go into games and get outplayed and outgained and still you knew that someone on their side was going to make the play that changed the game - Shaw, Holloman, Quarles, Clowney, Ellington, Swearinger, Gilmore - they always had that guy that would stick a dagger in the opponent. They are all gone, and last night I kept looking to see if "that guy" would show up. Nope. Maybe I'm thinking too much, but it's still something to think about.
