You think they both beat out Yeargin, Register, Kelly, Rudolph, and Foster??

Hard to say. They are very talented but Yeargin and Register are solid and know the system. Kelly, Rudolph, and Foster are very talented and have learned the D. Thomas and Henry will have to earn it that is for sure.

Hard not seeing him redshirt at this point.

I guess it depends if the coaches see Henry as a player that will be here more than 4 years. The scouting report on Mascoll is he is a bit of a project at this point, but has a high ceiling.

Yes I believe he is 235. Is he an early enrollee? He could gain 10-15 before the season starts.

That is what I was thinking. Especially with all the depth. Is he in school now though?

I am sure a lot of factors play into it, mental maturity as much as physcial maturity. It is pointless to redshirt a guy on this defense if the staff believes they can make it to the next level in 4 years.

Thomas is immediately 3 deep. Mascoll and Henry can likely redshirt now.
Cle, Austin, Rudolph, Yeargin, Register, Kelly, Foster... lots of bodies ahead of them. Sure I’m missing somebody.

I agree but who knows. Kelly does have a lot of talent and I think Foster does too. That said I do think all 3 DEs will end up better than them but who knows. Henry and Thomas do seem physically ready but it has a lot more to do with than just that. I would think Yeargin and Register will be the 2 deep guys but they will be pushed. Soooo much depth at DE. Idk if Henry would redshirt. I think he would leave after 3 years anyways but it will not be easy to beat out the sophomores ahead of him when it comes to the year after next.

Well, as much as I like Rudolph on the DL

I think he has played offense before in HS, and we could use some TE depth:
...as a junior on offense, he had eight catches for 110 yards and a score ... as a sophomore in 2014, had 20 receptions for 224 yards and a score ... as a freshman in 2013, had 22 catches for 168 yards and a score ... scored a touchdown in first career game as a freshman against South Aiken ... finished career with 50 catches for 502 yards and three scores."

Can you imagine him mowing people over? LOL.

Rudolph came in as a freshman to a talented DE room sporting a partially injured shoulder and still fought his way into the 2-deep. He ain’t changing positions. Kid is going to be a menace.

I do think he stays at DE but idk how much PT he will get. Looks of talent with the Freshman and Sophmores and Yeargin back this year.

I wasn't saying he SHOULD move to TE at all.

I was just saying that evidently he is multi-talented.
I don't recall whether he cracked the 2-deep over Kelly and Yeargin (or if they were already hurt), so those two are back...plus our loaded true frosh class. I wish much success to all of them.

Ah, gotcha. Yea, he could prolly play both ways. He beat out Kelly straight up. Yeargin would prolly be ahead of him. Still, that’s in the 2 deep.

Obviously all three will not, as there are only 2 DEs.

XT will definitely have a good chance, so will Henry. Yeargin will be in the rotation for sure, assuming he is cleared to play. Foster also got some playing time this season.
Randolph was getting reps in the first game, until the injury. Six in the rotation can easily work, even in tighter games as long as the coaches feel comfortable with the young players knowing their assignments.
One of the 3 freshman could redshirt.

Gonna be a heck of a battle. Iron sharpens iron. I would think Mascoll Rs to gain some weight but who knows. WE TOO DEEP.

Assuming everyone returns Thomas does, I think KJ and Mascoll will need a year in the weight room before we see any significant contribution.

Thomas Henry Mascoll was an 18th century politician and orator from western New Jersey . He's best known as the first man of his time to dye his wig and use the rock and roll sign ??

Whoever is ready will play in my opinion because after 2018 it will be a mass exodus along the defensive front.
