Don't know if we are going to score 10 points with Cole on the helm. I know 10 points by the offense might be good enough giving our DEFENSE!!! Debating should I go or not. How many of you is changing plans because of this if any?
I love the tigers including Cole but I don't know if I can stomach another game like GT. The GT game it was easy, I just turned off the TV and started drinking. With this game, I can not just turn off the TV. I can start drinking though!!!

and honestly I am interested into the Cole's show if anything like GTec. I almost broke the TV on that game. I did the next best thing: turned off, called a buddy, and started drinking in the basement while shooting pool..

That game... I turned my anger into construction - built an entire office / man cave room during that game. I had a new neighbor move in the week before that game and he was having a party and invited us over - he's a 2x Clemson grad and was having a party for "the games". I was kind of nervous going into that game, so told him I may swing by later. Well, we all know how that turned out. Anyway, he must have had 100+ people at his house - I kept hearing all kinds of crazy cheering and it wasn't coinciding with what I was watching on TV. I flipped to the USuCk / UF game and I'll be dammed... They were cheering for the gaycocks. I about lost it. So, I turned off the TV, went to Lowe's and Target and outfitted this room I'd been planning for a couple of weeks.
I finally ran into that guy at one of our local watering holes about two weeks ago and he came up and asked why I never made it to his party.. Just as I can say "Oh yea.. so, about that party..." My fiance' jumps up and goes "WT... Why in the h3ll were you cheering for the gamecocks?!?" He starts in with a "ahh, well.. You know - I grew up outside of Columbia. I actually pull for both teams. At least it was cool one team got the win, huh?" My fiance' about flipped out and killed him at that point.
Still not too sure about that guy.

How do you really feel if we get another performance like the GT performance from Cole?
How else can I word this? Help me out.
I dread to see Cole as a QB like most "honest" tiger fans. I know it is a fair criticism, but it is NOT a lie and I would like to take a vote on how many of you that are slamming me feel the same way. I made an honest statement that I am debating on going or not and frankly, I made up my mind now not to go.
I hope the tigers do win and I hope Cole surprise the heck out of all us but my confidence level in him is really low. He is probably the worst QB in Clemson's history (not sure though since I went to Clemson in the early 80s). I just hope he won't throw pick six like he did in the GT. I did meet Cole in the spring game and he is a very, very, nice young man.
The truth is that on this site, one can not say the truth and you all worry about your pulse. Cole performance sucks as a QB and we could lose as a result. How many of you have the balls to say the truth?

coot for making statements like that. Each person has to determine if they're willing to spend $2,000+ to take their family to a bowl game that -- in his/her mind -- Clemson has little chance to win.
I do think most people who attended the Orange Bowl debacle against WVa had a great time in Miami (minus the actual game) -- hanging out with other Clemson folks, enjoying the warm weather, going to the beach, and eating at some good restaurants.
You'll have to make that decision on your own... but regardless, there's really no need to keep trashing a guy who has put his heart and soul into Clemson football, even though he hasn't performed as well as he (or Clemson fans) would like.

Even though Cole hasn't performed as well as Clemson fans would like, I am supremely confident that no one wants to win and to perform at a high level any more than Cole himself, so why bash a kid who bleeds orange.
I will be there on 12/29. In fact, the good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, you couldn't keep me away regardless of who starts at QB.
I have not missed a Clemson bowl game since attending my first one in 1977. If Clemson is playing, I'm gonna be there.

The difference is you are assuming he is going to be awful. I am assuming he will do fine. At the end of the day I "win" as I have spent my time (and money) support my tigers.

will go ahead and take the troll bait.
Absolutely still THRILLED to be going - only 13 or 14 or 15 chances a year to see my Tigers play - and will have a GREAT time tailgating with friends & family.
Will yell loud & long for the Tigers - will represent my Alma Mater with as much decency & kindness to those around us as possible.
Will be SORELY disappointed if we win and will be ridiculously too happy if we win.
With either outcome - it will be money well spent for the memories of "being there" for my team & my school.
And it will be fun seeing our seniors one last time.
Not changing my plans in the least - my Tigers are playing ! ! !

Tradition of being part of a tremendous following that will support the Tigers no matter what.
And as evidenced by your posts, we are a dying breed.
You have tried to explain your perspective at least 2 times - and it still makes absolutely NO sense to me.
If it is a bad game - it is going to happen whether you watch it or not - TV on, TV off, in person, in a boat, with a cat floating in a moat.
If it is a GREAT Tiger win - you miss being there.
Nothing like being at the WVA Gator, Penn State Citrus Bowl or the first beat down of the Sooners with a lights OUT D like we have this year - or the Illinois Hall of Fame Bowl - Illinois was the only team to beat eventual "co-national" champion Colorado . . . or the Orange Bowl last year ! ! !
SURE - there have been some stinkers in there - WVA Orange Bowl, Cali Gator, Va Tech Gator, Auburn Peach . . . but DANG - I choose to remember the AWESOME time I have had at the WINS ! ! !
And your gonna miss being there - and giving your visible support to an incredible Clemson Tradition.
Enjoy your couch and your rationalizations.
