I was just sorting through the recent deliveries and it hit me that I can count on one hand the number of stores I've been to in the past 4-5 years to buy a Christmas present...it's glorious. To think, just a decade ago, there was probably at least a 75% chance that you'd have to set foot in a mall to take care of Christmas purchases.

that I end up ordering so much from one place. The variety that you can find in one spot is ridiculous. In the past 12 months I have ordered from them, among other things:
-Hard drives -Mouthwash -Light switches -Storm trooper themed nutcracker

don't remember ordering it, and the only thing I can think of is that I really wanted one when I was a kid but I only had Roscoe's sheriff's car, so I guess I subconsciously went back in time and knocked that one off the bucket list.

as much as I don't want a new CC, we Amazon Prime like mofos (44 orders in last 6 months. Is that mofo-level?)....and just had our first Prime Pantry delivery the other day too...
I'm sure I could look for myself, but where's the fun in that?

pretty much the ultimate big box store.
I would love to be able to go get everything at a locally owned shop, but ain't nobody got time for that, especially when you need something very specific.
But yeah, I have spent a ton there and definitely have gotten intimate with that 1-click ordering.

Pros and cons to Amazon, and by "con" i'm being picky
Dec 18, 2015, 11:16 AM
|
|
Pro is Prime. Order in like 1 click, free shipping, here in 2 days. No having to get your shopping done at once due to shipping or general checkout hassle. Find, cart, buy, keep shopping.
Con is when you get a price range for an item that is Prime eligible of say $23-$88. The $23 with Prime is what you want, but then you have to sort through size/color combos forever till you realize it won't work out for whatever reason. You can get wormholed into one product for like 20 minutes with no success.
Overall 11/10 though.

In some places it's one hour delivery, but I'm in the burbs so it's 2.
It's called Amazon Now....you can't order from the website, it's from a dedicated phone app. Pretty much if it's in stock at your local warehouse, you can get it.

the return process is ridiculously easy.
Also, I streamed a movie a couple of weeks ago, and my internet connection coughed for a few minutes. The HD stream was interrupted, and I had to finish the movie in SD. I got an email from Amazon a couple of days later, notifying me that they were refunding my $3.99 purchase price. It wasn't even their fault.

She just likes to be able to control you and waste your time
Dec 18, 2015, 1:09 PM
|
|
She's asserting her dominance over you and you're letting it happen. Take the power back.
Somewhere along the way man lost the upperhand and gave into all this ######## about women's rights and equality and this other nonsense. They still want to be treated like a lady and have doors opened, be given flowers and for you to do the yardwork. But now they also want you to help clean around the house and do the dishes and change diapers and wear ####### baby bjorns. But they can't even hand out the occasional beej without complaining about it or holding it over your head for 2 months like she split the ####### atom. Just like you jungers that say your wife won't let you take a trip with the guys. It's time to grow a pair, stop asking and start telling her what you're going to do.
Sorry, I went a little off track there.
