And how coach Brownell prepares the team to play but there are issues within the league that are much more important.

The schools within the ACC need to get themselves in position to make more money in the very near future. TheACC is taking a real beating in tv revenues. This has been discussed on this board previously and it will only get worse. Our neighbors to the south, the SEC, are receiving millions and millions more dollars than our teams are receiving. The problem is the tv contract isn’t renewable for another ten years or more. I suspect that the previous commissioner made this foolish deal with ESPN. For this reason the ACC MUST add another team to the league quickly to force a new tv deal with the broadcasting firms. I think that some thought that Notre Dame would be that team but we all know that that isn’t going to happen. They will never join another league ...imo.

I think it is vital that the new commissioner begins a search for a new ACC member and comes to an agreement quickly.

Who would make a good partner? West Virginia?

And to answer your question, I'd say Maryland or West Virginia. They are both geographically compatible. Possibly another Florida school...

Would Maryland come back to the ACC? Not that I would want them but would not think they would even want to come back. Figure Big10 money is too good.

Great post and spot on. Cincy. Yeah, would be another poke in the eye to wva but imho they would add a ton of value in football and expand in the Ohio market which is huge.

Louisville for West Virginia. If we then ditched divisions in football and opened up our regular season schedules, our weekly fall programming would improve significantly over where it is today. The ACC is in its own way here in terms of greater national appeal and the resources that follow that.
