for CBB this year. But where do you see the team realistically? If the transfers pay off, plus development of the guys already in place, is Brad the kind of guy who can get the wins to make the Sweet 16 or even further? I'd like to think so, but his resume would suggest otherwise. Although the talent is there if he can maximize it and get the team hot at the right time.

but if this team does not make the tourny, it's a big fail. I say this anticipating we'll be healthy.
As for the Sweet 16, who knows. The tourny is a crapshoot depending on seeding and match ups, so I won't go that far. However, on paper, this is as talented a team, and a team that should have veteran leadership, as we have had in many years

get to the Sweet 16 this year? Personnel-wise, this team won't look like last year's team. Plus accounting for improvement from returning players, if the transfers start clicking right away and the team comes together, they will be much better than last year.

tourney or bust, or Sweet 16 or bust. Making the tournament should be the goal, but I think even making the NIT and putting together a string of wins in that tournament would show good positive direction, and wouldn't be a failure at all for this team.

They should be better but I wouldn't get my hopes up. We should have won more than we did last season but they didn't . I'm going to support BB this season but you know what's going to happen. I don't have to tell you.

You're talking about a team that played 0 home games, and you're severely underestimating the 3* transfer players.
Oh yea, and players improve over the summer. In case you weren't aware.

the transfers won't pan out.
Maybe I need to invest in some reading glasses.
I think Reed and Mitchell will be a huge x-factor moving forward in my opinion, I liked Roper but he just wasn't ACC material.

my biggest question is this, should it take 7 yrs to have a team ready to "make" the ncaa tourney? its clear that bb is a good guy but when it comes to having faith in his ability to take next step, he's nowhere near what i thought he would be. should we just accept that?? i say, as clemson fans and alums, we should want and demand more. the baseball program took a very positive step forward in parting with jack. as much as he was a big part of the success of the program, it was time. i absolutely believe bb should not be given this much time at a major university that excels at many sports (baseball, football, soccer, golf etc.). Particularly, in this conference.

and as long as JB wants to be drafted high,
then the two of them are going to have to get together and
drive this team on a NCAA run - Sweet 16 is a very reasonable suggestion.
We should blitz our early competition based on overwhelming talent and
Brownell having had these players in his system for more than a year.
We should also be about the 4th most talented and senior team in the ACC.
now is the time...

lol I love when fans make a statement comparing Baseball or Football with Basketball.
Winning or difficulty of winning in those at Clemson is not really comparable.
2 of those 3 have things that make it much easier.
