A year too long. And I’m cool with it. Not taking a QB in the portal, or at least trying, is a bad move in my opinion. However, it shows loyalty; albeit a year’s too long worth. We fire a year too late, change starters too late and make overall changes too late. But again, I’d rather be loyal too late than a year too early stifling potential.

This next year will hurt, again. But I’m cool with it, knowing players and coaches can rely on our HBC’s willingness to see it all through…even if it takes a bit too long.

Then that attitude and loyalty is what he used to BUILD this program to the multiple national title program it is. I can only trust him to use the same principles moving forward.

And yes, Dabo is loyal to coaching/past players/friends and upperclassmen players, some would say to a fault. That said, Dabo's skill sets building the program from his start to 2018-19 are undeniable. Can he do it without Watson, Lawrence, Power Rangers, and Jimmy Greenbeans? The bar is high. Love the Luke and Rumph hires.

It's hard to get there. Harder to stay there. I believe Dabo has at least one more natl championship in him. Go Tigers!
