Internet forums such as TigerNet didn't exist 31 years ago and I don't think ESPN did either (at least not as big as it is today). The Tigers were coming off of a 6-5 season (2-4 ACC). But if the internet existed back then, do you think they'd gotten any love or respect going against #4 Georgia even though it was a home game? Or going to Chapel Hill in a showdown with #9 UNC? Or having to play #4 Nebraska? Probably not. But those boys proved all the naysayers wrong.

Let the team do the taking on the field on Saturday. I believe we can beat FSU this weekend. But if not, I do hope the boys can give 'em a run for their money.

struggled to beat Wofford and Tulane I didn't have much hope for the rest of the season. Boy was I wrong.

by the time we got to CH we would have some respect but with Neb we were not getting any love.

or 33 years ago. The Entertainment and Sports Programming Network instially began by airing Sports Center, wrestling, college soccer and taped replays of other college sports.
