Happy with last night

Nov 15, 2013, 4:45 PM

Very happy with the way the Tigs played last night. After first couple of drives, I thought we would be kicking field goals all night. However O line shaped up and overall had a good performance.

Isaiah Battle is a beast. Think he will be huge key in beating Scar. Brandon Thomas is great as well. Hope we can get the best Oline together for the 30th.

I don't think I've seen a better duo than the Tajh-Sammy connection. Martavis broke out the cage last night and hope he continues to explode. Really hope we get him back next year. I don't know if Coach Jeff Scott gets a lot of credit since he's really just a WR coach; however, we have just about the best receiving corp in the nation. As Nuk tweeted during the game, it looked like WR University out there.

Defense looked incredible for most of the night. Of course, a few big plays got by but I kind of expected that when a triple option team changes the game plan. Glad we finally have learned how to defend the 3Opt...BV doing a heck of a job. Last year and year before we weren't wrapping up and not tackling in space very well; we did an excellent job last night.

Not sure how many people were at the game last night--read on ESPN it was around 75000 (not sure how they get their numbers though); however, I thought it was a great turn out for a cold Thursday night.

Hope the Chad and BV have already started Gameplanning for Scar. I'm sure they're already planning for us.

Two more weeks of the regular season left, my fellow Tigers. Might not have been the time for a National Championship, but the future looks golden. Even as a CEO-style HC, Dabo doing a remarkable job. Hope we can finish off strong against the coots, and get to a BCS bowl.

Go Tigers!

Better D was what I took away from the game

Nov 15, 2013, 5:08 PM

After years of kind of trying to stop the flexbone while trying to play the pass, they finally sold out on stopping the run and took their chances on play-action. It gave up a few big plays but essentially took them out of their game plan. Making that GT offense go three and out is difficult and we did it multiple times last night.

I know we gave up some passing yards; but it was the right way to play them; force them to beat us passing. If they win a passing/ scoring contest with us; they would deserve it.
