For convo only...winner of Clemson/FSU will be in CFP Top 4

I don't have to play the games, so me looking ahead does not matter. Clemson winning at Miami and at NC State by one point each game is fine with me and I'll take it now and run to the house.
For fun and debate on a Sunday afternoon....here is how I see it.
The CFP playoff poll comes out the week before FSU and Clemson. I believe the winner of the Clemson/FSU game will be in the Top 4...even if major upsets don't happen between now and then.
And, let's be honest, major upsets will most likely happen. Let's just hope Clemson is not the victim!
If Clemson wins the next 3 games (including FSU), this will be the CFP Top 4 the week after:
#1 Seed-Baylor #2 Seed-Ohio State #3 Seed-Clemson #4 Seed-Michigan State
If a major upset happens to Baylor and/or OSU...Clemson could be as high as #1 by that poll...and stranger things have happened in College Football over the years.
See AP poll and games leading up the November 4th Showdown Saturday below.
Some of you conspiracy theorist will argue that Bammer will jump into Top 4 over an undefeated team...maybe Clemson. I don't see that happening.
#1 Ohio State: @ Rutgers and vs. Minnesota. Most likely 9-0 and in Top 4. #2 Baylor: Vs. Iowa State and @ Kansas State. Most likely 9-0 and in Top 4. #3 Utah: @ Southern Cal, vs. Oregon State, @ Washington. I think one loss is there. #4 TCU: vs. West Virginia and @ #14 Oklahoma State. I think one loss is there. #5 LSU: vs. Western Kentucky and @ Alabama. Loss to Bammer? #6 Clemson: @Miami, @ NC State, #9 FSU. If we win all three, we are in Top 4. #7 Michigan State: vs. Indiana and @ Nebraska. Most likely 9-0 and in Top 4. #8 Alabama: vs. Tennessee and vs. LSU. Most likely 8-1 and first team out of Top 4. #9 FSU: @GT, Vs. Syracuse, @ Clemson. I see a loss there! If FSU beats Clemson, they may jump Bammer to get into Top 4. #10 Stanford: vs. Washington, @ Washington State, @ Colorado. Most likely 8-1 and behind only Bammer as one loss team.

Good analysis, but ...

I do not like how weak we were against the rush from the I formation. FSU will do this all night long with Cook.

Venables will adjust his play calling and scheme to fit that. That's the advantage of having the nation's premier defensive coordinator. In the past I wouldn't have trusted that, but we now have the talent and adaptability to play with essentially any offensive scheme (until we hit a Baylor-style HUNH and our lack of depth defensively gets to us.)

You have much more confidence in the playoff committee...

than do I.
Never-the-less, I don't see the SEC missing this. That means LSU will be in with no losses or Bama or UF will get in with one loss.
If we win out and two other Conf Champs are undefeated we still make the cut. Right now I don't see anyone in the Big 12 beating Baylor. I don't think anyone in the B1G can beat OSU.
Clemson's problem is Utah. If Utah goes undefeated Clemson will unjustly be the lower ranked team of the three and helll will freeze over before ESPiN's Playoff Committee will leave the SEC out of it's own playoff.

The top 4 I see for the cfp if Clemson beats fsu
1)Winner of Mich St/OSU 2)Baylor 3)Clemson 4)winner of LSU/Bama
If Clemson loses one it changes everything BC I think UF is going to beat FSU.
1)MSU/OSU 2)Baylor 3)Utah/Stanford 4) UF/or whoever wins the SEC west
I hope for scenario 1! Go tigers!

right up there with polls and the color purple and all that.
But enjoy it if it's what floats your boat.
There is a season for everything, and this season is Miami.

You are right, it's not going to happen.

We have the best avenue of circumstances to go undefeated. That avenue is broadened by our talent and coaching across the board. It's not a weak schedule as many have heard, said and believed.
Utah will probably go down before the CCG. Utah plays this weekend @ USC, @ Washington, @ Arizona and gets UCLA on the road.
I still think OSU and Baylor will hold off conference foes. Baylor is a sure seed if they go undefeated because the whining of the Big 12 last year.
I see us going to Texas and playing Baylor and OSU going to Louisiana to play Bama. That's flattering to Clemson and Baylor that the ESPiN's POC will pair the two teams they know can put Bama out of the first round.

Miami is a tough team to beat, and on the road. It will take a lot of focus and execution to beat them.
