Good morning, how was everbody's weekend?

Friday night, work then calm evening at home. Saturday beach, from 10 am until 4 pm. Even though there were several applications of sunscreen, I must have missed my feet when I got started, they are in quite bad shape. Saturday night celebrated Toga Girl's birthday. Sunday, stayed in bed until about noon. Did a lot of nothing between noon and 4, then went to the Riverdogs game.

Friday: Did absolutely nothing after work. I was in bed at 9:00 and started reading the third GoT book and was asleep by 10.
Saturday: Up at 6:00 and off to Lexington for a volleyball tournament. We played pretty mediocre all day, but still ended up making it a few rounds into the playoffs before getting eliminated. Then I drank cold beers and watched the finals of the Open division. Home and asleep by 11:00.
Sunday: Up at 6:00 again and back to Lexington for day two of the tournament. This one was coed so lots of attractive females wearing very little. No ninjas acquired. I played much better Sunday than Saturday, but still did not win it all.
8/10 wood dew again. 1 point deducted for being so close to Columbia and 1 point deducted for it being ####### hot as balls.

A lot of people are drinking and playing all day long so by the evening there are quite a few rowdy fans watching the playoffs. I will either be playing in Anderson or Atlanta next weekend and Charlotte the weekend after that so make your plans accordingly.

Friday night went down to Grumpy Brothers and had dinner and cold beers on the patio with the pup in tow. As usual, she was the diva and used her mental powers of persuasion to make everyone in the place come over and fawn over her.
Saturday, took a truckload of junk to the dump for Mom in the morning, spent the rest of the day doing yardish-type things that I have avoided since the first of June. Finished up around 5, grabbed a shower and went back over to Mom's for dinner with the family. Had venison tenderloin, fresh corn, watermelon salad, and these: http://gardenandgun.com/article/recipe-tomato-grilled-cheese-beer-and-bacon-marmalade After dinner I loaded up the bass and amp and went and made rock and roll music. LOUD.
Sunday, took care inside the house stuff that I have avoided doing since the first of June. Finished up and made the Sunday grocery store run. Came back and ate some leftovers, then went on a long walk with the pup, met several weirdly interesting people along the way, and then came home and binge-watched several episodes of Kimmy Schmidt, and went to bed.

The lanlords jerk face dogs decided to bark at nothing at 4:30 in the morning for the second night in a row. This time the barking as enough to cause me to see what was going on. Both of the dogs were on the dang couch. At some point on Sunday, the pit bull did what he does, and ate the ceiling fan remote.

Friday evening: Cleaned house in preparation for grouchingwife's imminent return from Tucson on Saturday. Bachelor living evidence was eliminated, house sparkled and smelled fresh.
Saturday: Woke up at 5, headed to golf course for 7:18 tee time. Did not play well, was not angry because I play 5 times a year at most. Returned home, finished cleaning. Picked up wife from airport, waited 45 minutes for bags to get offloaded from airplane (fuckyoudabo.gif). Met up with old friends that we hadn't seen in a while, awaited babysitter to show up, headed off to bar to pregame for Billy Joel concert.
Instant review of Billy Joel concert: Old man knows his bizness wid dat pianner.
Better review: It was pretty awesome to see a lounge act in front of 50,000 people or so. Leann Rhimes was opening act, she is still looking pretty good. Billy played his hits for the most part, was quite conversational, and went for almost 2 1/2 hours non stop. Hell of a show, if you get the chance to see it. 9.5/10, wood see again.
Sunday: Hovered on the edge of death by hangover, accomplished nothing, was horrible husband and parent.

Had training all week so was burned out from that.
Went to Sol friday night with some friends.
Not sure what I did on Saturday. Sat night went to Red's/Tavern and table with some other friends.
Sunday was supposed to go to Sullivan's Home Team but chickened out and didn't do anything. Pulled boat out of water yesterday to fix a gel coat ding from someone else's errant anchor, so its in my driveway now.

In-laws showed up Thursday afternoon. They had dinner made by the time I got home on Thursday evening, so that's a plus.
Friday I went to work while wifeof- and kidsof- spend the day out with the in-laws, relaxing evening, simple grill-out for dinner.
Saturday up early to run (8.25 @ 8:16 per mile). sonof-has TumbleTykes at the local gymnatorium at noon. daughterof- had a birthday party at 2:00. In 10 minutes we went through easily a dozen different combinations of who was going to watch sonof's gymnastics session, when we were going to eat lunch (before or after) and where we would eat (home or grab a quick bite out), which lead to high frustration levels. Ended up being just jroberts and sonof- going to gymnastics, everyone else stayed home, which ended up being a good thing. daughterof-'s birthday party was actually at 1:30 with a note to be at the place at 1:15 to check-in. Brought sonof- home to play with Grandma and Grandpa while I got some work done. Ate dinner out and spent the rest of the evening at home.
Sunday - up early for church, then lunch out and Minions in the afternoon. Cute movie, not as good as either of the Despicable Me movies. Grocery store, then grilled out for dinner and ice cream at Brusters afterward. Stayed up too late watching beisbol, but every dirty piece of clothing in the house got washed, so it's a fair trade.

Saturday: Drove up to Clemson. Went around down town for a while. Did not see an effigy of Micah Rogers. Was disappoint.
Sunday: Woke up around 8. At 9, wife tells me she wants to go gamble. Drive 3 hours to Cherokee. See the poors crowding the tables. Left after no more than 30 minutes there. Did not even gamble. Drive 3 hours back. Made sure to keep this event in memory for future events when the wife gets a dumb idea.

Chilled on Friday for the first time in a while. Saturday started off good, but I believe the gf had a few too many cold ones. I don't understand why some females feel the need to document every second of the day with pictures, but this resulted in a massive fight. I'm considering banning cellphones from my boat now.
That passed though, and we went to Jocassee Sunday. There were a lot of people who had no idea what they were doing. Beautiful lake, but we covered the whole lake in about 2 hours. Couldn't really see any waterfalls because people like to anchor directly in front of them evidentially. Very meh, probably won't be making that trip again this year.
Got home early yesterday, drank beer the rest of the day and grilled pork chops.
6/10 weekend

don't plan on going back any time soon.
The lake is up, so there was a bunch of debris in the water. If you have kids and/or a dog, this also means most of the beaches and stuff are submerged, you'll be having to anchor if you want to get off of the boat.
If you go, make sure you get there before 11:30 or so in the morning, otherwise you'll be in line for the boat ramp. Prepare for that line to move slowly. I don't know how big your boat is, but the only dock there does not have bumpers. My rub rail is well above the dock platform, so some of my striping got rubbed off, despite having my own bumpers deployed. That kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.
There were also a ton of bugs if you weren't riding fairly fast.
You'd probably be glad you went, but just as glad to get back to Keowee.

Upper corner on SC Georgia line?
Also is Jocassee water level down? Waterfalls are probably trickling.

Is it more of a kayaking lake? Worth taking a power boat to?
Jocassee looked to be full, if not it's pretty close. The waterfalls had a good amount of flow from what we could see, although there were about 4 pontoons posted up in front of every one.

Yes. Kayaks.
I've seen reports where Tugalo is a good fishing lake. Small, more for kayaks, but larger motor boats have been in it. I see two spots to get in. The ### and end of Bull Sluice Road. The ### I believe has a boat ramp. Not certain about Bull Sluice.
Went to Jocassee last year end of August on a Saturday. Yes get there early. Went out from lower western side ramp. Paddled to Wright Creek Falls and then over to Whitewater Falls. Lunch at an island in the water just out from Wright Creek Falls. It was not as crowded as you've seen. Still a beautiful lake. Clear water. Wish there were more than 2 places to access.
Thanks again. Was hoping for a personal report on Tugalo.

Have looked at satellite images. Many homes. Golf course. Looks like Lake Toxaway Marine has the only ramp. South side of lake. Have searched for public ramps to no avail.

It was one of those weekends where the bong stayed on the coffee table for about 60 hours straight. I can't be sure I left the living room, but Sour Patch Kids and Cheetohs don't deliver (even though they should) so IDK

Friday - cookout at the house. Good food was had. Saturday - took kid to petting zoo and played all morning and afternoon. Then after he went down for the night, drove down to Indy. Sunday - complete idiocy and great people watching at Brickyard 400.
Monday - I am exhausted and thinking about just shutting it down for the day and napping the rest of the afternoon.

and then wen over on Sunday to see how bad the played. Found it interesting when you had to play by the full rules of golf - i.e. no gimmies, no net double max, etc - that most of the guys shot 10+ strokes worse than a normal weekend round. Gotta hand it to the kid who just graduated HS tho for shooting 67/69 to win it. #younglimberbacks
Rest of the weekend was filled getting the house ready to list. Oh, and a few libations of course
