ESPN Spartanburg really pissed me off

yesterday. Open mic hosted by Mark Hauser (voice of Wofford)was discussing coots schedule. Hauser made the comment that the Clemson 1981 schedule was nowhere near as tough as the coots this year. Huh? UNC and UGa were BOTH top 10 teams not to mention Nebraska was #1. I have always heard Hauser resents Clemson for not hiring him following Jim Phillips passing. Kinda shows!

The UNC game looked to be much tougher until they lost their first game of the season to the ##### the week before and tumbled in the polls.

season developed, especially after a 6/5 season the year before. Georgia, the reigning national champs, came into Clemson ranked #4...and we knocked them off. I believe UNC was ranked #9 or #10, when we went to Chapel Hill. I'm not sure of Nebraska's earlier season ranking, but they were #4 prior to the NC game...and few people gave Clemson much chance to defeat them considering their history. It would be difficult at best to compare the '81 season with this season...contrast would be a better word, as the game is quite different now. Regardless, the indisputable fact will remain: we won the national title...period.

i have to listen to that show as well as i refuse to listen to walt the fool, and no other choice. it is not much better than walt and i think they want to be either a comedy show or something akin to THE VIEW. they are not factual on their sports info either. it is not a very good show and will #### you off on a regular basis.

Hauser was saying the 81 schedule was "nowhere close" to as difficult to USC's this year...that in itself is an idiotic statement.

You can always pick out facts that support a particular position. I'd say that through this much of the season that Clemson played the tougher schedule since they'd not only beaten a 4th ranked UGa team at home, just like the #####, they'd also beaten Kentucky on the road. UK wasn't a powerhouse, but they were much better than the UK of today. In fact, they won back to back SEC championships in '76 and '77, just 4 years prior. So far, the ##### have only beaten UGa and we're still not sure what the Dawgs have. I'm also not sold on LSU yet. They're like the #####, only better on defense and not quite as good on offense.

we'll see how they respond. Then the swamp. They just can't keep things in perspective. Beat a UGa team who was ranked that high playing NO ONE.
