Having someone as unprofessional and sports stupid as Ramona on the Clemson flagship station is embarrassing to the fan base and alumni. For god's sake, get her off the air.
And send Walt with her.

1. It's Upstate SC sports radio.
2. With the draw of national radio pulling listeners, stations need to do something to generate interest.
3. Clearly they (Walt and Ramona) are generating revenue from ad sales and generating listeners (which work hand-in-hand).
In the end, I am floored that people like them (and Mickey, really) are still able to be on the radio. I am still looking for the "ticker take" parade. But this is what there is in the area.
Walt is a tool of the highest order who insists on belittling any callers who do not wholly agree with him. Age old story, of course. That said, the quality of what is being put out there? Hell, my 8-year old knows there is better content out there.

We need to take this kind of stuff to the University. How hard can it be to find even halfway knowledgeable talent that knows how to represent its flagship university with professionalism and class?
And I agree...Mickey is part of the problem too.

I am not sure how much pull the university has in all of this and this goes back quite some time. In the end, if the station is making money - and part of that comes from listeners who both agree and vehemently disagree with the DBs, that is the expectation. Period. No change will happen. Or what's more, the station will put them more in the forefront (see Mickey). Guy's alright, local down home and all, but is not polished. Not a knock on him as a human being at all. Just stating the obvious.
