Something from Teeter or Whole Foods or do you just have to make your own?

Some places have better for whatever reason. There was a placed called Wilbur's in NC and their sauce was better than some others. Not all the same for my taste buds.

If it ain't one of the SC sauce varieties, it's trash.
Cole slaw on BBQ is trash, too.

Has anyone suggested Sweet Baby Rays for store bought sauce?

But for hot vinegar sauce go:
1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup of ketchup (yes use ketchup. Those north of the border Carolinians hate to admit it. But it works.) 2 tablespoons of crushed red pepper 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon of salt (or more if it needs more) 1 teaspoon of black pepper (If you have a rub go ahead and throw in a tablespoon of that here too.) 2 cups of white vinegar. 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Whisk it together and simmer until salt and sugar is dissolved. Enjoy over pulled pork or straight out of the bottle.
I’m drunk right now so my measurements could be off. But when it’s right, it’s really right.
