DRad has done a great job here

We have ONE sport that is way below par, basketball. All other sports have improved under him not to mention facilities have also improved. Give him a break. He is doing a jam up job.
I've never understood why people don't like him. Were you here when Bobby Robinson was AD? We are light years ahead of those days. Again we are down in ONE sport and Littlejohn just got a huge face lift.

I consider the Littlejohn remodel a fail. HE also gave Brownell a contract that was out of line with what Brownell has accomplished at Clemson, which is nothing.

I give you the BB argument but he opened up the pocket book for all other sports
Google the improvement to every facility we have while Drad has been AD.

He's spending money that Dabo is earning. DRad has had tremendous luck with the timing of his hire.

So DRad deserves equal credit in your book for the success of our football program?

Honestly, any AD performance discussion after a football NC

is academic.
But I think for the most part you are right.
Football is obviously great. Baseball's future looks great. Men's and women's soccer are both top notch. Men's golf is solid.
Men's basketball is coming off of a season with multiple wins over ranked teams and a 10-8 ACC record. We just can't put it all together to get to the tourney. Very frustrating.

But it shouldnt be academic. The football program is the cash generator and Dabo has the vision. All DRad has to do for football is not be an obstructionist. Of the 5 programs you cited, DRad hired only one of those coaches and he's only been here one season.

Okay. I'm not saying we should name the stadium after him.

I'm saying that there's no reason to be naming a replacement.
All the major programs are on solid footing except the basketball programs. Our women's program has been struggling for some time now. But I still say that the men's program, frustrated as we have been, did some great things last year. Me personally, no way I would have made a move after finishing 10-8 in the ACC, beating several ranked teams, and having our best player stay for his senior year.

And because that was the popular sentiment is why we are exactly where we are.

What does that even mean? Anyone could have seen this was what was coming. But the majority thought he "deserved" another season. This is the results. Seven years with no notable accomplishments despite inheriting a successfull program and getting a combined 7 years out of 2 (one current, one future) NBA players. The failure is staggering and all the accounts of his skill as an Xs and Os guy were completely fabricated. He made a desperate play for transfers to get him over the hump in a contract year - which is normally a play made by new coaches not ones in their 7th season - but his lack of ability to manage the players has led to him losing control of this team.
Jack Leggett got the boot because the noise from fans made it more worthwhile for DRad to move on than keep him. The precident is set that he is an AD the responds directly to fan pressure for his own convenience. So those of us that want a change apparently need to turn up the volume.

and make a good hire. He moved on from Hewitt and hired Gregory at Tech, and that didn't work. He gets a mulligan here. What he does with it is big

Understand the circumstances when he first arrived here. He was pretty-much run out of GA Tech after that Coach Hewitt contract fiasco in their basketball program. Now he has done the same thing here by re-signing our sub-par basketball coach for an astronomical salary and length of contract also. Understand now?
