Mmmmm gonna have to ask you to pump your brakes there hombre.
While technically frying and confit are cooking a food in oil, there’s a considerable difference in technique and outcome. Confit is slow, low, and careful. Confit is more akin to poaching in oil, like an oil sous-vide. The best examples are cooking a protein in its own fat low and slow, it turns into meat butter.
