Did FSU catch a break by playing NIU instead of Louisville?

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are. After watching Louisville take Florida to the woodshed I wonder if they would have given FSU their own "Orange Bowl Debacle". I can only imagine the ACC headlines had that happened, but of course when two of the SEC top teams go down to "inferior" opponents as they deemed us there is nothing mentioned after the first SportsCenter after the games were over.

Thoughts?

FSU actually has good RB and WR, and Manuel isn't the white Logan Thomas.

I would have loved to see that game, then have Florida play Oregon and get embarrassed eve worse. KState could get a nice trophy for beating NIU.

That being said, there was no way that ESPN/BCS would allow Oregon/Kstate match up with any one but each other.

smoked FSU. Their offense was aweful the first half. The defense might have made more of a showin than UF. Not sure though.
