Coot friends do the darndest things.......

Jun 10, 2012, 1:00 PM

A coot buddy (one of my best friends) and his fiance have now planned to have their wedding the weekend after mine. Their original date was set for the beginning of the December but have changed it because, wait for it..........that is the weekend of the SEC championship game, a game they are not guaranteed to play in. So my honeymoon gets cut short because they can't miss a potential game. Naturally we have a lot of the same friends so two weddings back to back is a lot to ask. Now more than ever I would love to see their season fall apart, Spurrier is talking trash again and expectations are higher than ever. A collapse of monumental proportions would be welcomed now more than ever. Howard, Heisman,Clemson, Tillman, I am praying for an all out ACOCKALYPSE and you four can be the horsemen.

The lesson learned......

is never schedule a wedding during football season.

:)

Congrats and good luck.

I guess you are right, but we picked the date before either

schedule came out and rolled the dice. Our luck is it's the Thursday night game against WF, but no Gameclucker believes that because they have Tenn at home that day. I can live with a few less Gamecock fans being there, but shouldn't the luster of beating a Tenn team worn off by now?

The real lesson learned is..

Never have coot friends.

This whole predicament could have been avoided if he didn't mingle with the riffraff.

I thought the lesson learned was never have....

if he was really your best friend, he wouldn't make you cut the honeymoon short.:)

Do you really think he has any say so on when his wedding is

. Come on you know once you get to this point you just nod when any plans are being made and say "that sounds like a good idea"

why heck yes, tell him to put his foot down. i've been married 28 years, and it's because i do.... uh, here comes by wife, she says you'd better do what the fiancee says. just kidding (not about the 28 yrs, though) good luck to you and your (soon-to-be wife, and, heck even the coot and his.)
