Is UCF in the SEC?

I'm just thinking ahead in case UCF were to upset SCar. How are they going to spin that "SEC competition" thing to excuse that loss ??

Even though several coots I know mocked us for a sub par win over NCSU, should they win by 1 over UCF then forget it. "It was the biggest game in their history." "We were disinterested." "AAC refs man." "Jadumbo had a stomach bug." "We should've started Dylan." "The weather." "Well they'd beat you guys."
Please UCF, beat these guys. And if you do then expect to see usuc flags being quickly replaced with Bama flags; as they ride there wave.

So, to me it wouldn't be that big of a shock if they lost. It wouldn't be as surprising as if NC State had beaten Clemson.

clemson, you would be more surprised than if ucf beats usuc ? so, a conference usa team beating a top 3 sec eastern division team would come as no surprise to you? ok, now that you mention it, me either. we have said for a few years now that the sec west is good, sec east, not so much.

hey, private tiger, what he was saying was that we were a 14 point favorite over ncsu, and uscu is only a 7 point favorite over ucf. that would be a 7 point difference in civilian math. you just jumped a little too soon. not a coot post just a logical one. back to seeking out coots.

With space on campus for only about 6,000 (mostly Freshmen) it is largely a commuter school that ranks 97th per USNews among public schools and 174th overall.

Well Miami and Florida are both very good schools. FSU is a bit more like SCU I guess, but still 15 spots ahead of them.
I guess it's understandable that a fair amount of kids wouldn't get into one of those schools, but 60K just seems RIDIC.
Do they turn anyone down? Or is this like a community college?
As Chris Rock says, a community college means everybody in the community can go. Crackheads, prostitutes, come on down!

2007
After a season-opening win at NC State, the Knights play on campus for the first time, hosting sixth-ranked Texas in the inaugural game at Bright House Network Stadium. In front of 45,622 fans, the Longhorns escape with a 35-32 victory.

UCF hosted No. 3 Texas back in 2007 which was a bigger game for them than South Carolina.
That said, it would be copnsidered one of their bigger home games although over the years, UCF has gone on the road to face teams like Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Alabama, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Purdue, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Texas, Kansas State, BYU, Ohio State, and Clemson.

SC eeked past them in Spurrier's first SC-coached game:

"Spurrier should remember the last time the schools met, as it marked his return to college coaching Sept. 1, 2005. South Carolina made a stop on fourth down at its 1-yard line late in the fourth quarter to hang on for a 24-15 victory."

I really, REALLY hope UCF upsets USuCjr but I doubt that it happens. SC beats UCF on paper all day long. The coots simply have better talent. That said, I believe that dicipline and team work can beat raw talent in many cases, especially when the team with raw talent is undiciplined and lacks team unity or focus. USCjr is just such an undiciplined and disjointed team but I don't think UCF is as diciplined or unified in purpose as they need to be in order to over come the Coot challenge. Being realistic, who sees it differently and why?

SCU just has too much athleticism to lose to Commuter U (I can say that, I lived down the street from UCF years ago). I do respect what Oleary has done there, I just dont see it happening.

I dunno. UCF has a legit offense and SCU's defense has been questionable this season.
The question is can UCF stop SCU? Probably not.

No but they have SEC wine coolers & SEC coaching. Plus some of their family members wear SEC shirts & hats so they're all juiced & hyper. I think Clowney's gonna kill somebody.

I must have missed the discussion at that time as to why the Big Yeast would change their name to something that sounds so unwieldy, the American Athletic Conference (AAC ),and can easily be confused with another existing conference, the ACC. Was looking up some other team's stats the other day and then it hit me. The AAC is now listed first on all D-1 conference standings that go in alphabetical order. Kind of a lame reason to shout "hey look at me, I'm still relevant."

the reason they choose that name that looks and sounds like the acc is we have all the teams in the acc that started in that conference. swoffy stole them.

They're first alphabetically in "major" college conferences

"Major" used extremely loosely when it comes to the AAC. That's the only reason I can think that they'd use such an unwieldy name--and not only that, but insist that it not be abbreviated (like that's gonna happen).
