Coaches salary formula that would pay according to success

My idea to make coaches pay more like real life than fantasy land.

First. No long term buy out. Give them 1 year salary as severance based on the current years results for win and losses according to the new performance pay schedule.

All on field coaches regardless of position are paid a base game salary of 10,000

Each coach based on position is given a bonus based for each win and no bonus for a loss.

The bonus is based on a your tier as an experience coach and past success.

Let’s use Garrett for example

The coach and hiring school agree that he is a 5 star rated coach at his position based on his history and awards. His win game bonus gets 5 star bonus.

If 2 million a year is 5 star rate then his bonus would be 166,666.67 per win.

Dabo would be 5 star coach and at 11m a year his win bonus is 916k a game.

Currently dabo has made 5.5 mi bonus plus 100k base
Garret has earned 1m plus 100k

If Shane Beamer was hired as a 5 star head coach he would have made only 1.8 mil plus 100k base. He is currently being paid 6.125 million this year.

See this is a pay for performance and fired with severance

If Shane was fired this year with no more wins, his severance would be 1.920 mil. Is his current buy out is 11m

I’m sure this can be tweaked many ways but it is better than current.

Thoughts?

It would never be accepted by schools or coaches, You can't put the genie back in he bottle. The precedent has been set. There would be schools who would not adhere to this formula and would pay whatever it took to get a Saban, Swinney, or any of the top coaches. Supporters must be happy with the current system because they are paying for it.
