Worst car you've ever driven.

Parameter. Not some car you eventually beat the hell out of or was a hand-me-down first car.
The Nissan Sentra I rented last weekend takes the cake. While it was pretty much brand new, having less than 2000 miles when I turned it in, it sucked. All but the AC which was awesome. Seemingly no power, very jerky movements, very uncomfortable. Hell it didn't even have a viable arm rest.

I got to the counter and was offered the Sentra or a Carrola. I know how much I dislike Carrolas. This really was no better.

That is the #1 requirement in car renting.

I saw a posted speed limit of 80 at one point. Mostly, they don't bother to post speed limits at all. I'd go miles without seeing one.

when I had to go work in New Mexico. Traveling long stretches of desolate highway between the little towns where I called on accounts, pushing the rental cars to their very limit was the only way to get where you were going in time to get anything done. After a while, going 35 in town was starting to make my brain explode because it felt like I was sitting still.

Chevy Equinox and it's not even close.
The 4-cylinder that my mom has is a sluggish, top-heavy death trap that I would not recommend for anyone who likes a proactive driving experience.

Complete and total POS. No interior room (granted, this was back in the fatjroberts days). Seats were not comfortable (granted, this was back in the fatjroberts days). Took forever to warm up enough in December to deliver heat (had to rely on fatjroberts insulation for warmth). No engine pep and go (granted, this was back in the fatjroberts days). And it was just entirely plasticky on the inside (has nothing to do with jroberts being fatjroberts back then).

It shakes and rattles and stalls out for no reason when it's cold. In the summer you sweat your balls off the entire time because there's no A/C. But I love that thing. It sucks to drive and I would not have it as my daily driver ever again, but for cruising around Clemson you can't beat it.

I miss the helloutta that thing. 3 spd straight stick on the floor, drove like a Panzer tank. A/C? Ain't nobody got time fo dat. It was an indestructible beast, and in the event that something did go wrong, it was about as simply made as a lawnmower, I could usually do it myself.

The only things I didn't do were the brakes (because I wanted to make sure they were done right so I wouldn't die) and the clutch which required you to drop the transmission which I did not have the facilities to handle in Clemson. I love that thing, and will not be selling it anytime soon even though it spends most of the time parked in the barn right now.
