Best wishes against OSU

Just wanted to stop in to wish you happy holidays and good fortune against Ohio State. I'm an SU fan and know SU wasn't the favorite choice of many in the ACC but I for one am very pleased to be in the ACC and loved having Clemson at the dome, for the tailgate and game. I hope to get to Clemson next fall to tailgate with you there as well. Our football program is not competitive with the best in the ACC at this point, I'm at least glad we got to a bowl and won against a B10 team, though part of me was pulling for their coach. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome you've given to SU fans on your board and best wishes for the new year, starting with OSU.

I think Clemson has never lost to SU in basketball, so you may not need the points. Perhaps we can work an arrangement where we total the football & basketball scores before we declare a winner. Using that formula, we'd need to beat you by 35 in basketball just to get back to even. Quite honestly, I don't think that will happen. We have a good team so far that's won good out of conference games, but there's a long way to go and conference games in the ACC will be tough. I'm looking forward to basketball, but enjoyed our 1st football season in the ACC. You kicked our butts that day, but it was a great day anyhow. Clemson in the dome as our 1st ACC game was a significant way to begin a new era for us.

to see a huge crowd tailgating in every nook and cranny on campus and the area surrounding the stadium. You'll have numerous invitations to join in with tailgating family and friends. Clemson hospitality (with one exception) is legendary around college football. The campus is extraordinary...plan on a tour.
There'll be plenty of activities and famous places to visit. Be sure to include the Esso Club for an adult beverage and a place to catch your breath. Plan on a fun afternoon in a beautiful setting.
Welcome to the ACC and I probably don't need to wish the 'Cuse good luck in basketball....you guys look like a lock for the final 8 when March Madness rolls around.
Seeya in the fall!

And, take in the John C. Calhoun Mansion tour at top of hill

that runs down to The HILL that's at end of the stadium where the Team's buses arrive for them to come into DV to rub Howard's ROCKchip & run down The HILL.
Calhoun was a Hawk & maybe one of the ones who helped fuel the Civil War's beginning..but he also was a US Senator, VP of US (twice), Sec of State, etc...
And his Son-In-Law was Thomas Green Clemson (of Philly!) who gave the estate (Fort Hill) to the state for a new school that would train young men for agriculture & horticulture & military skills..hence CLEMSON!
Welcome to Tigertown & enjoy! GoCUSE & TiGERS!

I seem to rember hearing Thomas Clemson also had a hand in the start of Miss St and U of Md in some way. Not to the extent of Clemson though obviously
