I'll have to go with Bill McLellan. He is the one who got the upper decks built. He hired Charlie Pell, Danny Ford, and Bill Foster. He is the AD who got it all started. Go Tigers!!!

Agreed. The TDP era really cleaned up the look of the football stadium.

TDP put us in 21st century. Orange Friday. Upgraded salaries and infrastructure. Fiscally sound. Smart man - pilot, lawyer and PhD. He improved our standing in conference and nationally. He was exactly what we needed when he arrived.
He should have been replaced by Bill D ‘Andrea and not Dan. We may never get out of debt.

He did a great job with one or two major hires, but ran the Olympic sports into the ground for the most part. Very much appreciate him for football, but if you want to be considered "Best Athletic Director" in my book that needs to be much more than one sport.

Correct. Bill Mc had the vision for Clemson to again become a national football power. He put it into motion. Terry Don, however, made the best hire in school history, hands down.

Not comparable - each dealt with the issues of their day. Another “Which flavor of ice cream is best?” question… I prefer chocolate almond…Mayfield if available…

Today’s Mayfield ice cream is not even close to what it was 20-30 years ago when it was still family owned and operated. Like many companies, it was sold to a large corporation who standardized the formulas across all their manufacturing locations in the name of cost control and the quality of the finished product is what suffered. I know because I worked for that large corporation for over 22 years while all this was taking place. I very much prefer Turkey Hill ice cream to the Mayfield product in the stores today. You should try it if you haven’t.

I see your points and would like to agree but both hoops and football had probation in B Mc's tenure so its TDP for me.

If McClellan had been the AD Ford would have coached at Clemson for many more years.

No one Clemson more. I agree but Kudos to Terry Don for Dabo and Brownell. Graham may top all of them.
