BCS rankings = Must pull for ACC teams

If ever you needed a cold hard hand across the face to wake you up to why Clemson needs the rest of the ACC to improve just look at the BCS standings. FSU and Clemson have been given no shake in this at all because the ACC is seen as weak overall. Meanwhile the SEC has, what, 6 teams in the top 10 or close to it. And half of those teams have one loss just like us.
Many of you love to down the ACC, claim you never pull for ACC teams, etc, etc.. but just remember that when the ACC is down Clemson is down with them and you are essentially pulling for something that hurts Clemson.
Go Tigers!!

The majority of the ACC is garbage, and they're to the point where they they're all playing each other now- bad teams beating worse teams, wont help anyone in the polls.

but regardless of schedule WE......CLEMSON controls where we go.
take last year for example
If we go undefeated with the "weak ACC" we're in the BCS championship game.
After last year i'm convinced that only ONE conference is allowed to have a 1 loss team in the BCS game (THE SEC).
It's also very rare to have more than 2 undefeated teams (from a BCS conference) by the end of the year.
Point is......most of it will "play itself out" 2nd point is.....even in a VERY weak conference we can still accomplish everything we want to accomplish. FSU pissed their opportunity away b/c they lost to a crappy team, but had they gone undefeated this year they are in the BCS game........no questions asked

We can go to the Orange Bowl?

Well yes...for now. I'm not sure how long that contract is, but I'm sure the folks on the Orange Bowl commitee is chomping at the bit to get out of it. Then where will the ACC Champ go? Right no the Big East looks better than us. Not sure ow ling it will be before Confrence USA replaces the ACC as a BCS confrence. But after next year it a whole new ball game anyway...one that the ACC may be looking at from the outside. Can an undefeated ACC Champ get left out? You bet!!!

an undefeated clemson or FSU team would definitely be in.
over the next few years clemson plays UGA and USC
FSU plays UF every year and normally some other decent outta conference opponent
speaking based off of the past had clemson gone undefeated last year beating AU, VT x2, FSU, & USC (ranked in top10-15) we're in............
this year had FSU gone undefeated beating Clemson and UF likely top 10-15 they're in.
honestly the biggest problem with the ACC is that the "TOP DOGS" of the ACC slip and fall too many times................................last year "kings of the ACC" in clemson loses to a mediocre GT team, STOMPED by a bad NCST team, STOMPED by a decent USC team that didn't win the SECeast..........MURDERED by WVU in the OB.............this YEAR FSU (world beaters) fall flat on their face at NCST

The polls were set and the ACC did nothing to change that early on. FSU played no one and well it's not Clemson's fault AU has sucked up and down the field this year. Only thing to pull for outside of Clemson winning out is for FSU to drop a conference game then beat Fla. No way that UGA vs GT match up has either of them honestly in any mix that matters and I'm not even going to mention the BC vs ND Game.

As it stands now, with the ACC as down as it is, Clemson or any other ZERO loss team from the ACC loses out vs any other zero loss teams. We also have less than zero chance of getting two teams in a BCS bowl. This ultimately hurts Clemson. Less money for Clemson.
You can be a wise guy and say screw 'em all but you're just screwing yourself in the long run.
We will also continue to lose recruits to the SEC, and South Carolina, and this is only going to get worse as the chasm between the two conferences widens.
Dabo is doing a great job building a program capable of winning big but other than winning our own games if you ask him what would help us get to where we want to go a strong ACC would be high on his list.
