coaching these first two years ..... hear me out!
From the very start of this season I thought we were an average team. Portal players from Richmond, Davidson, Wofford .... basically Division 2 teams ..... did not give me the confidence that this team was loaded with great players. Generally, pitching staffs do not turn dominant over night and we have proved that. What Bakich was able to do with mostly average players, smoke and mirrors, a degree of luck, in my opinion has been outstanding. This team is probably a little over a .500 club. I love these players and team for the grit and determination that they have shown. In my opinion they have way overachieved.
On the other hand, we just witnessed a Wake Forest team loaded with talent, that is way better than us ...... not 13-3 better ..... but certainly much more talented. I would suggest that Tom Walters did a less than stellar job with this group of players, as there is no way they should be about a .500 team in ACC play.

Clemson is a much better team than .500. You are just caught up in the emotions of a bad series loss.

You probably meant that for me. Yes, including all of the mid-week games we are much better than .500, but what I am saying, against conference teams and other comparable schools, we are probably on a “little” better than a .500 club …….. or should be about .500. I think I am actually being pretty complimentary of this team ……. Or at least mean to be.

No emotions to it waterboy. Tigerlinks has probably given the most solid account of our team. We're not a national seed. I can promise you that... no matter what the stats and ratings say, especially in Feb Mar and Apr. Just like football, tell me what level team we bested when the season is about over.
We haven't faced many pitchers that consistently have control over breaking stuff. But we'll see it in post season. If we were in the sec with the team we have, we'd be 9th or 10th place.
This is coaches first signing class next season. Sadly we lost 2 of our best pitchers in tallent and Samol before the season. Then the injuries to Taylor and ciufo hurt us worse and we're young. Bakich will get us there. He's done quite well with experienced d2 transfer talent.

Thanks CGA. Exactly what I was trying to say. I love this team because of their guts and their hearts and I think they absolutely got the most that could have been expected.

Last year's team was better IMO. We were a little short on pitching, though.

I do not know how we will fare with the NIL and tranfer portal in the long run. It will be interesting to see how we finish the year. It would be nice to win a regional for a change, but it will be tough.

Absolutely....It took Bakich like 7 years at UM to get to Omaha and he did have a top 10 recruiting class in there... He will get us back on top
