Best chili I have ever had

This is the best recipe I have tried

this depends on how many you are serving as you can cut the ingredients in half and probably not get so fancy with all the cans of tomatoes and go with 1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes. The advantage is that you can drink the other 5 beers while you wait on the chili

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large red onion, diced
1 medium red bell pepper, diced
1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
8 ounces Italian sausage, casing removed
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon dried oregano
One 4-ounce can tomato paste
One 12-ounce bottle beer
One 28-ounce can diced tomatoes
One 14-ounce can diced tomatoes
One 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
One 15-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
One 15-ounce can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
I had a halved habenero in mine, but dont touch the inside of it.

Got a good one but you should have started 6 hours ago

Stew beef
Thick cut pork chop(s) cut in chunks
Ground chuck

Brown each meat separately
Mix a variety of canned beans - I like pintos, blacks, pink kidneys, and navy beans with alot of water and simmer

Sauté onions in the stew beef pan on the beef grease and leavings
Throw in diced bell pepper and mushrooms when onions are half done
Once onions are tender, pour in can(s) of chopped tomatoes and 1 can of tomato sauce

Season with smoked paprika, salt, a pinch of sugar and as much heat as you like from chili powder and cayenne

Sorry no measurements - it just depends usually I do 1 can each of the beans, about a 1-1 of total meat to beans and enough tomatoes to add liquid. Onions peppers and mushrooms to taste.

It's a real seat of the pants recipe

Man now I'm starving!

I have a simple one...5 ingredients

Jan 5, 2014, 6:16 PM

1 pound ground beef
I medium onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 can Campbell's tomato soup
I can chili beans

This is the basic mild chili recipe. You can add beef, venison, or sausage if you like, or add bell or hotter peppers to taste. You can use different beans to add color, taste, or make it your own.

My family loves it. Simple and easy to customize. And you can double or triple it according to how many you want to feed. A double batch usually feeds my family of 5 comfortably.
