They're going to call this service "Cable."
So transformative!

This is a pretty big deal. A massive number of people only have cable/live streaming (YouTube TV, etc) for sports. This allows folks to bypass any type of traditional tv and get this instead. While I'm sure it will be pricey, it has the potential to really kneecap the traditional market.

Unless this comes out as way more expensive. The ONLY live TV I watch now is sports. I don't currently have cable or pay for any live TV services (I watch elsewhere), but this could be enticing if priced competitively.

I was going to say, if I had all the channels they're talking about, I wouldn't need anymore... that's all I tune in for anyway. Especially if it's reasonable. I'm thinking maybe $25 bundle... per month. Or do you think more? 199 a year etc. I like it.

It won't be for everyone, but for those of us that only sign up for cable for the sports packages, it will save a lot of hassle.

If this involves my having to sign up for an additional service to watch the same sports programming I have been watching for over a decade for $70/month through Verizon Fios, it W'ONT be happening.

They didn't break up Hulu with antitrust. They're not breaking up what is essentially Hulu on a smaller scale.

Exactly, and I'm now paying all that my limited budget can handle, and if it goes up just one Dime more than I'm already paying through YouTube TV, they can count me out bc, at the age of 71 I have more than enough to keep me occupied besides paying more money that I really can't afford. To be a 100% honest where sports is concerned, I only watch Clemson sports bc that's all that I'm interested in, and if it wasn't for Clemson sports, I wouldn't have the slightest clue about what other teams were doing in that sport which is mostly Football, Basketball, and Baseball of the teams who compete against Clemson ONLY.
The big company, big money groups can bring in all the packages that will make them happy and I'm glad for them, but, if my bill for watching what little sports that I do watch for only a few hours on Saturday goes up, they won't get anymore from me, and I'll gladly take back what they get from now, and that's just the name of that tune, and I'll read from my computer how Clemson done in whatever game they played the next day and I'll be OK with that bc that is the way about everything has been throughout my entire life, things come that can hold my interest until the big money guys price me out. That will also add amusement for me when I read that they went under and loss $$$ million $$$ bc they got to big for their britches and made moves that cause them to lose most of what they made by screwing things up!!! So I say bring it on big money folks bc you will most likely lose on the far end, but you won't be losing none of what I paid you on your new adventure !!!!

People who already have these channels through cable wouldn’t need to subscribe. This is for those of us who don’t have cable, but still want live sports. It expands their viewership numbers and goes where “markets” can’t.

I will not be paying and extra $10-20 or more on top of my YouTube TV. Consumers are getting screwed with all these streaming services.

I have been by choice missing what was put on ESECPN+ as a way for me to say and feel that I wasn't about to allow them to hook me and reel me in for more money... I know how much I can spend and I won't spend no more. Remember Popeye's famous words, I've had all I can stand and I can't stand no more. That's what he would say before opening his can of spinach. That is where I Stand before closing my check book to them crooks!!!

NFL has already tested streaming only for NFL football. I get YouTube TV too, but my bet is these greedy companies won’t show games they usually show on YouTube, Sling, etc, when they launch this venture. They will do just like they did when they tested showing the one game on streaming only. You can also bet it won’t be cheap either! This will be just like the NFL ticket prices! Hope I am wrong, but it seems the greedy are just finding new ways to get even greedier! Hope they don’t stop broadcasting on radio, because I will go back to listening before I have to pay that kind of money just to get watch my tigers play in order to feed their greed. I could care less about watching every sport for every school, and I refuse to pay exorbitant prices above what I already pay. When they do this and the streaming services like YouTube don’t carry the games anymore, you can bet they won’t reduce their charges even though they will be less than they do now.

Yep, they brought it to us as a way of saving money only to hook us so they can get more from us on the other side, but I can show them better than I can tell them that it didn't work on me!!!!

If you’re already paying for YouTube TV with sports, you wouldn’t have to pay for this. This is for people that don’t want an entire cable package, but are currently getting screwed bc the only way you can get live sports is with cable. I want live sports, I don’t want bravo and whatever other crap they’ve got on cable. Give me a $20 streaming service so I’m not paying $70 or more for a YouTube TV or Fubo package.

Nothing here that I don't already get with Hulu + Live TV. But, I'll soon get less thru Hulu but pay same and have to pay more for sports??? Initially this looks like collusion and monopoly.

Yep. I have Hulu live and have all those channels already. I wonder if they will make us pay extra for the new service to keep what we already have?
Hulu live was $39.99 when I started it 5 years ago or so. It’s $82.99 now…

I am a big fan of cycling ( I know most of you are not). The ability to watch on demand is a huge plus - as long as one of my friends - or youtube - don't spoil it for me by spilling the beans before I can watch.

Adios YouTube TV. Finally can just pay for what I use, ESPNs and FOX Sportses.
Also, lol at people actually complaining about this. They obviously have no clue what this is. Maybe it’s the same people that complain when someone holds the door open for them or that yell at people that try to help them when they drop something.

Pull all of the Sports Channels from "regular" cable and maybe even the other options like HULU or YOU TUBE just to make everyone all pay for this new plan...
