added suggestion.

I 2nd The Thirsty Monk and LAB. Tupelo honey is a must. Though I prefer it in the AM, kegs & eggs.

The Green Man Pub usually has a good band on Friday & Sat. nights.

Ed Boudreaux's Bayou Bar-B-Que has some pretty tasty Southern food. It's beside Barley's.

If you want to to watch sports and have good beer try Der Biergarten

Loster Trap is one of our favs.

A new hot spot that was in Food & Wine recently is a tapas place called Curate. Haven't been but it gets great reviews.
