I remember how happy my momma was. I was 12 years old and Clemson had shocked everyone...except Clemson. That night in south Florida set the stage for greatness. We didn't k ow how great we could be , or how hard it would be to get back up to that stage. We know now. Dabo showed us the path.
Great time then to be a Clemson Tiger. Greater even now.

Clemson paying my own way through school.
So, the Miami Dolphin's had a playoff game the next day after the Orange Bowl, and they had German Shepard dogs surrounding the field keeping everyone off the field. So, I walked around to the endzone where our band was still playing. Both teams wandered to their respective locker rooms, but I walked out on the field and went all the way to the "King Orange" logo at midfield and I stood there for about 10 minutes. The German Shepards had left and I was not escorted to the sidelines.
Great memory!

Cornshuckers, including the doubtful within the Clemson family.
That great victory plus our first against Bama for the title remain two of my favorite games of all times, mainly due to the suspense. Our second title victory over Bama was the most stunning, as I just couldn't believe how lop-sided the victory was...nor could anyone else, I'd bet.

Remember watching the game and shooting fireworks in celebration afterwards.

I was nearly 19 year old and fortunate to go to the game.

I had my orange overalls on and a sunburn to go along with it. Never forget that night thanks to my parents for sending me to Miami. Thank you mom and Dad.

I remember walking out of the stadium after the game and shouting, with other Tiger faithful, "The Big Eight knows where Clemson is, the Big Eight knows where Clemson is.."What a great game.

I was 11 and spent the night with my Granny Ida so I could watch with her. She was so much fun to watch football with. We were screaming and hollering like crazy, her mostly. It's definitely where I got my passion for Clemson Football.

I was 52 and visiting my Dad in Seneca. I think that's the exact moment when our four children became lifetime Tiger fans.

I was 27 y.o. and had just given my future wife an engagement ring a week earlier on Christmas Day. We watched the game together as I introduced her to the phenomenon known as Clemson football. A great week in my life, for sure. She’s been a fan ever since.

I was a sophomore at Clemson and couldn’t afford to even consider going to the game so I watched it in a bar in downtown Charleston (Whistler’s?) with a bunch of my high school buddies - most of which were coots fans. All of them wanted to bet me on the outcome and watch the game together because they knew I was leaving to go back to Clemson just a couple of days later and wanted to make sure they got their money before I left. Needless to say I made more money that night than I did all semester refereeing intramural basketball at Fike!
