Recommendations Sought for Chattanooga

I'll be heading to Chattanooga in a few days to visit a friend who moved there about three weeks ago. Looking for recommendations on:
Good place to watch college football games (Clemson and other games) - low key environment is more my speed
Restaurants with good pulled chicken, pulled pork, ribs, or smoked bone-in chicken
Stores with best selection and prices on spirits
TIA

With all the back and forth on high crime cities, and hearing some say it’s not just/all ‘Dem Mayors’, I was checking some of the crime rate comparisons. There were more than a few southern cities high on the list (Florence, Myrtle Beach, and a few more close by) that surprised me.
One was Chattanooga, TN. Not saying it is sure assault, death, rape, or robbery lurks on EVERY corner, but you may want to do some research on areas you’ll be in.
But I guess that goes for any location. I like Chattanooga, and have been there a few times with no trouble. Hope you, too, have a good visit.

See Rock City.! Now if you remember that you are an old timer like me, Rock City is on my list. Had planned to go earlier this year, but it didn't work out.

Do you remember the roof of old barns in the south with SEE ROCK CITY painted on them? If you do you are no spring chicken! That was a loooong time ago!!
Chattanooga was also where my favorite soda pop as a kid was bottled. If they still make Double Colas bring me a case!

I'm not old enough to remember that, but earlier this year, I did see that message painted on things in some rural parts of the state between Chattanooga and Nashville.
I also have never heard of Double Cola. They are still around.

Clemson Alumni Association meets at The Feed Company on Main Street, which is great restaurant/bar with lots of tvs. Sticky Fingers and Edley's BBQ are good places for smoked chicken. Champy's for fried chicken. Hutton and Smith is a good brewery. Whiskey Thief is good for bourbon. Enjoy your stay.

Thank you for the recommendations. Will look up The Feed Company, Edley's, Hutton and Smith, and Whiskey Thief. Ate at Sticky Fingers and Champy's earlier this year. Loved Champy's and will be going back this week.

Right across the Tennessee to the right is the Brewhaus. Haven’t had anything bad there. Get the pretzel for appetizer. Good German beers and local brew as well.
On the top floor of the Edwin is a great bar. Definitely worth a trip. The Whiskey Thief. Sip a fine single malt overlooking the Tennessee. #####!

I live in Chattanooga area. I like Edleys for bbq and whiskey theif on top of the Edwin for a drink overlooking the river. Also Feed is excellent. Champys has the best chicken, Choo choo bbq is good too. No shortage of bars with tvs.

Definitely off topic for what you are seeking, but we had the best family trip to Chattanooga when we took our granddaughter. Their aquarium is so much better than the Atlanta one that everyone goes to and not too crowded. The old chattanooga Choo Choo station is fun but wondering if still open?? So much to see, everything from historic battlefields to riverboat trips and Ruby Falls (underground caves).

I went to the aquarium earlier this year. I enjoyed it more than expected for someone who was just tagging along with a friend who had taken his kids.
