I've been paying Spectrum $64.99/mo for internet only and don't think it was a promotional rate. I just received my next month's bill in the amount of $84.99. Wow! That's a 31% increase.
I suppose Spectrum thinks it will not continue with ESPN and will lose a LOT of customers - so they're going to try to make up the revenue loss by jacking up monthly rates...... Whhooooeeeee - that's a tough way to try to save a dying business.
I can get AT&T fiber 300Mbps for $55/month.... guess I'll make the switch.
Geez! After calling Spectrum to complain, I did find that I was on a 2yr promotion and $15/mo was due to promotion expiry and $5/mo was due to an increase to be charged to all customers. So, I told them to cancel my service and they gave me another promotion - increasing speed from 300 to 500Mbps at $54.99/mo.
