Michigan fans/ B1G Hubris

Look , I get that being confident is a form of positivity and that we as Clemson fans have had that look for a number of years under Dabo. I get that . This past week or so , all over every brand of CFBP feed I have seen or read were UM fans absolutely out of their minds overconfident. Probably not in their own minds ...but to those of us looking on they just seemed wildly arrogant about their team and their "formality" with Georgia. Not all , but seemingly most...from what I was reading on social media anyway. Any fan using sanity and level-headedness would have refrained because we just never know , but that fan base sure does seem lacking in the "let's wait and find out" gene. Time after time I read " We'll stomp the Dawgs by 20" or " Big Blue gonna whip UGA" kind of stuff. Then Last night happened. Cannot remember the last time I saw such an overconfident , loudly over the top group. A really bad look considering the fact that Georgia absolutely took them apart from beginning to end. I don't pity them . Harbaugh said in the after game presser that this was just the beginning. Hey Jim , I guess you've gotta start somewhere.
Oh , Bama by 10.

They along with a whole lot of people got suckered into

the trap of believing UGA was weak due to the outcome of the SEC title game.
Secondly, they thought their Big 10 success guaranteed a victory over the Dawgs. Well, surprise, surprise...UGA had something in mind for them, and it was an old-fashioned lesson in butt-whipping, Southern style. Georgia's Big Uglies vs Michigan's...and the Dawg's were the Ugliest!

I really thought UGA might let the Bama loss give them pause in their own confidence and that UM could keep it close. Shows how errant a man can be ??. I hope you're well Mr. Hartins and Happy New Year !

domination, but they were ready.
If they go into the title game just as prepared, then I won't be surprised to see them with a victory.

Michigan looked so much smaller on the OL and DL. Were my eyes deceiving me? The difference looked stark.

There was a tangible difference in size combined with speed between UGA and Michigan.

Michigan's Downfall
Jan 1, 2022, 7:51 AM

|
1. False sense of arriving after beating OSU for the first time in over a decade.
2. Lack of CFP experience.
3. UGA ain't bad even though they aren't SEC Champs.

Both playoff games went pretty much as I expected. There are occasional outliers but, elite southern teams are usually better. I love college football and will watch the final on Jan. 10th. Since Bowers is banged up and Metchie is out, the rematch will be a little different. I expect Bama to roll the Dawgs again because Bennett will fold when pressured.

All you had to do is listen and watch their coach.
