I'm in New Hampshire, and I swear it feels like Alaska from about November-March.

I live on the Florida Gulf Coast and they'd have to run the presses overtime to print the kind of money it would take to get me to switch with you.

I just finished up watching every episode Netflix has to offer on Life below zero. Alaska is the one place I wanna visit before I die. Post some pics if you ever get a chance.

Have already said- i’ve been wanting to travel up there for some hunting and fishing for many years and envy you. I’d like to see the Brooks range, Prince Of Wales Island, and the Northern Lights. Catch some salmon, shoot a moose, bear, caribou, etc. I’m sure if you ever wanted Tiger visitors, you would have no problem getting ex-classmates or probably even complete strangers to accept the invitation to visit and take a few days or a week and enjoy an outdoor getaway.
Hope you enjoy the natural beauty of the region and can tough out the dark winter, cold, and solitude. Go Tigers!

Just moved from SC to Oklahoma City a few weeks ago. It’s sad not getting to be around my tiger family, but it’s fun to wear my tiger gear out here and get dirty looks from the Sooners! (live ten minutes from Norman)

Jewel could provide better football insights than a lot of the goobers on here during game days.

I visited Alaska 2 years ago. It was truly beautiful. It was interesting that the beauty was different than I imagined....but completely overwhelming anyways. We went in late August and it snowed on us.
When I got home, I was so glad I got to visit but it made me appreciate East TN. I can't imagine the weather there year around. I can't imagine having to pay the prices for groceries. I can't imagine that electricity and running water could truly be a luxury if you lived outside the cities.
While a wonderful place to visit, it's got to be a difficult place to live. Mad respect for those who live there year around and even seasonally.
