Former Clemson DT signs with Broncos

by -

Former Clemson defensive tackle DeShawn Williams is back with the Denver Broncos after a couple more AFC stops recently.

Williams was on the Broncos roster this time last year and eventually made his way to the practice squad into early September. From there, he also signed to the practice squads for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts before becoming a free agent this spring.

Williams has played in four career games at the NFL level, all with the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2016 season. He combined for a sack and posted four QB hits and a tackle.

The Daniel (HS) product tallied 161 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, 24 quarterback pressures, four pass breakups, one recovered fumble and two blocked kicks in 1,235 snaps over 53 games (17 starts) at Clemson.
