The plan is to let Philly win the division this year and then beat them in the playoffs. The Braves have decided this approach works better.

The mlb playoffs is about the dumbest format on the face of the planet, you can’t tell me there’s no correlation to the better teams losing out bc of all the time off … it should be diff micukt to win from the wild card spot, meaning you okay on the road the day after the season is over and you board a plane and play in the divisional series the next day … it’s stupid, baseball is not a sport you can take off a week and just pick back up in is playoff scenario … it’s almost like the wild card team have the advantage and that should not be the case… I hope the Braves don’t win the division honestly bc I feel like it would benefit them , which makes no sense

Well Manfred thinks the current playoff format is working and is good for baseball, so you know it’s the exact opposite of that.

Well, the Braves do have the best record in baseball.
BUT, it is only May, and there’s a LOT of baseball to be played. So, for me, I’m just gonna sit back and enjoy watching ‘em play (when I can) and not worry about the standings until around late July. Well, I do have a bet with my Dodger fan nephew on this weekend's series: loser provides the cigars next time we get together for bourbon….
Gotta say, though, it really sucked seeing Spencer Strider go out for the year.
In the mean time,
GO BRAVES!!!

than Philly according to the RPI and Phillies remaining schedule is 13th hardest while the Braves is in the 20’s. I don’t think Braves fans are sweating.

Uh, yeah. Phillies and Braves schedules aren’t on the same planet so far. Either way though, it’s the start of May. LONG way to go.
